Rising Star
My world of experiences started with something I keep close to my heart to this day. Marijuana.
As a kid I smoked what I came across. Chemically doused "hydro" and the dirt infused "mec". After I graduated I made the move to a land where doctors permitted me to grow my own plants for medical purposes. After my first deep inhale of that wonderful, thick, fruity, organic marijuana I could never go back to the imitations sold on the street.
Through my friends in the growing community I learned the ways of extracting mescaline from the local san pedro cacti, I enjoyed this more than LSD (which was my first, and also a great, hallucinogenic experience). It was similar to the joy i got from smoking my homegrown. I got to do everything myself from harvesting the plant to the brew, and that made the experience all the more meaningful and mind opening.
DMT was an interest that came recently. I read the experience reports on websites, teks here and there, and info on what it came from and where the plants could be found. Every article I read lead me to another link, and then there was another mind blowing article just a click away.
I quickly became obsessed with the subject, everywhere I went I searched for the Phalaris grasses and mimosa hostillis trees which I heard may rarely grow in southern California. Even taking special hikes and camping trips just to search nature for the many psychedelic cacti, fungi, trees, and grasses.
For me it's all about starting from scratch and that's why I came to the nexus. I don't like the idea of other people manufacturing and handling the substances I choose to ingest. I feel that if I want the experience, I should be involved from start to finish. I'm sure many of you share the same view.
I've read the wonderful articles on this site and decided that you kind folk here would likely be the best people to gather the needed info start the process, and possibly share my adventure with.
I haven't made it very far yet, I am currently trying to pinpoint the exact species of Phalaris grass (there are lots in my area that look very similar). But once I know beyond a doubt what I can use, my journey will begin.
So here I am with my introduction. It's my pleasure, and I hope to make a few e-friends along my adventures.
