hi folks,i havent done this in a while but if anyone could find any faults in my tech or has anything to add i would apreatiate some feedback.

i always done a/b extractions, this is my first go at lazyman, anyway here is what ive done.

i disolved 100 grams of costic soda in to 1 litre of tap water in a 2 litre mason jar,(the solution turned amber and became pretty warm).

then i added 250 grams of powdered inner rootbark and mixxed until it felt uniform in the solution.(its now pure black).

thats what ive done so far and it has been sitting like that now for about 30 mins.

i now plan to add 125 ml of naptha and cap the jar so i can roll it on the floor for 5 minutes like i used to do with the a/b solutions, then let it sit for half an hour then roll again for 5 then sit to settle and seperate with turkey bastor and add to a glass flat bottom pyrex dish for evaporating in front of a fan at room temp.

so should this tech be ok,like i said its my first time trying lazyman,i am getting a bit of a lazyman these days and thats exactly why im trying this tech, lol.

oh and i forgot i could also heat the naptha up a bit,ive done this before just by putting a glasss of the naptha in some hot water,is ther a better method for this?

any feedback whould be great folks.
:)

yeah warming naphtha like that is good idea..

one recommendation, though, maybe try freeze precipitating and reusing the solvent, and only evapping the last pull.. Yields cleaner product.. just evapping with a fan might yield some oil that refuses to crystalize (which might be mixture of dmt, n-oxide, plant oils and solvent trapped under all of this that takes long to evap)

In any case, sounds like you got it right :)

cheers for the tips guys.

would another 250ml/25 gram water/caustic soada solution added be sufficient?your wright about the amounts, this stuff is like cacti snot.

if i freeze precipitate, how cold does it have to be and how long would it take?
also i would have to use coffie filters write, thats something i couldnt get untill saterday, althow i do have a fine gauze mesh type material, often used for filtering thc crystals,im not sure how its measured but i do know the holes are 150?/something,lol,some folk here may know the stuff im on about.

Another 250 ml of water would help, but it still might be prone to emulsions. That'd get you a 1:5 ratio, where normally 1:15 is recommended (1:15 is probably more water than is strictly necessary, but it will definitely fend off emulsions). You can try it with the amount of water that you have, but be prepared to add more water if you end up with a tough emulsion.

For freeze-precipitation colder is better, but as long as it's cold enough to freeze water, you should be fine. You don't really need coffee filters (I actually recommend not using them); usually the spice sticks to the sides of the container, so you can just pour off the naphtha leaving the crystals behind.

thanks entropymancer, ive only added another 500ml water/50 grams caustic soada solution and then 125ml of naptha, thats been sitting now for at least half an hour,il give it another 30 mins and then il remove the naptha and add to the evaporating dish.

il let you all know how it goes.
