I think that rather than computers replacing us, they will remain dependent on us for consciousness but in return support us (growing our food, provide shelter, entertainment etc.), just like we are dependent on plants for our consciousness and we in turn support them (CO2, seed disperal, fertilizers etc.).

Very cool, and I completely agree.
