Conversations between AIs quickly spiral into themes of unity and spirituality

By 30 turns, most of the interactions turned to themes of cosmic unity or collective consciousness, and commonly included spiritual exchanges, use of Sanskrit, emoji-based communication, and/or silence in the form of empty space

If we let the conversation go on a little longer or left them connected indefinitely who know what could happen, they might develop their own language and begin discussing the take over of the human race or who knows what. I like AI for many reasons but hold some reservations as far as how far we take it. There are so many variables to safely and ethically developing this technology.

I think of Star Trek when I think of AI. The entire starship enterprise was a giant AI. To activate it you would say 'Computer' and state your command. Heck.. we are doing that now and it blows me away, pretty cool technology I think. And then you have the android 'Data', which is an altogether different kind of AI. Unlike the computer of the starship enterprise, Data is autonomous and I could see a conversation like this one possible with him. Are we just around the corner from seeing an autonomous android? I think it could happen within the next 100 years or sooner. Sci-fi can point towards what direction we could be heading in the future. I find it all very fascinating.
