Cosmic Spore

☠ ⚡ ☣ ⚠ ☢
Dear Nexus members, I’m Cosmic Spore; I have been a registered member since Tuesday, November 08, 2011 at 7:54:54 PM; I’ve been lurking since around mid-2007 when I did an internet search looking for information on peyote and happened across dmt-nexus in the process; I am a well-intentioned nexus member and a caring, cooperative person ...

Edited to remove personal information.

Welcome to the Nexus Cosmic Spore!

Long long intro! :) I like it. Show's you are willing to put some effort into this community. You should start growing cacti too! I just started and it is amazing so far.

And wow, 75 salvia plants. That is pretty crazy. Do you have a pretty big yard? Lol. Anyways we appreciate your willingness to help and pitch in. You have my vote.

If you have questions about the rules just check out the Attitude Page. And if there isn't something there that you are wondering about you can ask one of the moderators here. Or even some of the member.

Thanks,
hostilis

To hostilis:

Thank you for being the first nexus member to welcome me, and thank you for your vote. If I lived in a location where more cacti could survive (other than prickly pear), or I had a greenhouse or sunroom- I’d like to start. The minimum temperature in winter here gets between zero -5 & +10 degrees Fahrenheit. As for the Salvia plants, I have read making seed is very difficult, so I want to try; also I desire to acquire enough Salvia leaves within 1 or 2 seasons to make enough of my own extract and to also make enough enchanted leaf for a long time as well.

The plants keep rooting, so I figure that since I have them, I might as well mention to everyone how it’s going. As for the yard… full sun about the size of 1 to1.5 football fields… I live in a rural area on a relatively small plot of land (between 3 and 7 acres); mostly Oak-Hickory forest near me, with some full sun areas. People who might see them outside wouldn’t know what they are, and I feel I could plant them almost anywhere around here that environmental conditions allow.
If interested please see the thread titled “Light intensity, fertilizing & cloning of Salvia divinorum (Sterling Bunnell 1962 strain)”- I apologize for putting it within Introduction Essay area.

Welcome to the Nexus Cosmic Spore,

And thank you for writing such a detailed introduction essay. Let me first answer your questions for you.

1) Please spoon feed me the rules in regard to discussion of possession, trading, etc. the genus Cannabis in the Netherlands AND on the Nexus BOTH for medicinal and recreational purposes.

We are allowed to discuss posession of all substances. Even in the Netherlands it is not allowed to trade or sell Cannabis if you are not a coffee-shop, so the discussion about this here is also not allowed. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

2) If these laws are different than the laws in my country- the U.S. [definitely different than the state in which I live within the U.S.]; my country has prohibited almost every plant of interest and plant ingredient of interest, so- what is the Nexus policy regarding discussion of substances and plants prohibited within the U.S. by members residing within the U.S.?

Though things like mushrooms or certain plant material are prohibited a lot of times the seeds or the live plants aren't (or in the case of mushrooms the spores and the mycelium). This may differ from country to country and even state to state.

We allow discussion about illegal substances and plants. What we don't allow is the discussion of procuring these by illegal means. We also encourage sustainability which is why the onlyl supplier forum that exists is the sustainable plant one.

3) If it’s ok to discuss things prohibited in one’s own country (at one’s own risk), how safe should one feel that law enforcement will not demand information about such persons?

So far I've never heard of the nexus being used by law enforcement directly or indirectly. I would think it would be very difficult for them to follow each and every poster of these forums to see if he really has two grams of mushrooms or an extraction going at the moment. Personally I feel safe using the nexus. Things like TOR give additional layers of safety. I think the people that get busted for psychedelics do so for other reasons than using internet forums to discuss these things. But ultimately there is no guarantee.

4) Is discussion allowed in PM form that discusses exchanging or gifting of live plants, spores, or seeds TO and/or FROM places where they are prohibited? If so, please elaborate.

Exchanging personal information through the nexus is strongly discouraged. Any kidn of exchange would involve the exchange of an address so this is not allowed. It is very dangerous and is much more likely to get you in trouble than simply posting on the forum. Please do not use the nexus as a meeting or trading platform.

I've greatly enjoyed your salvia plant pictures and am glad to see a plant-enthusiast joining the active members. Concerning the mushrooms I would recommend growing p. cubensis before azurescens for the ease. Mushrooms, if stored badly, can become inactive, so perhaps this is why you had no effects.

I hope you enjoy contributing to the forum. Be well.

Enoon, thank you for very much for your reply, and thank you for being the first moderator to welcome me to the nexus.

I now better understand the details of the rules, that information will help me to follow them.

Because of the fact that I am most comfortable posting from a public place, and I minimize risk while doing this by minimizing time I’m logged in long at my chosen posting location; I hope to not be inconvenient, but I’d like to ask some additional non-rule related questions:

1. Adding thread hyperlinks to my posts ?

2. Can you, or anyone else direct me in the direction of a thread that discusses how-to information on posting techniques such as how to do the following:

Add any text relevant, as little as 1 sentence first to a newly created post
Place 1 specific picture second
Additional specific text third
Add another specific picture fourth
And text to conclude the post ?

As for the mushrooms, thank you for the advice (this is my first mushroom growing attempt), however, I have already purchased them, and inoculated all of the mushroom spores the night of 3/27/13. I have attached a few images of the mycelium that’s now looking successful to my inexperienced eyes; I did not include the more numerous images of mediums that now show no sign of growth yet (old oak wood & within separate jars, cardboard). All the jars were previously used for other purposes; I simply rinsed with water, and pressure cooked for these purposes.

These pictures were taken 16 days after inoculation; inoculation was done just before solidifying temperature was reached- this is why the medium is dark (the spore syringe was dark). So far, malt-dextrose agar is the only medium showing growth, and to my inexperienced eyes those 3 jars look good and healthy; I have transferred some mycelium from 1 of the jars to newly prepared malt-dextrose agar, and so far I only see slight mycelium growth within the new jars, no contamination noted yet (4/15/13).

I may not have time to do a grow log for the mushrooms, but I’m using a TEK that was listed somewhere on the nexus titled: “Growing Psilocybe Azurescens”. I have read some very recent posts of yours that mention mushrooms, 1 links to a good liquid culture topic; I want to ask you “Can Liquid Culture work using the Psilocybe azurescens?”.

Even while I’m logged in, I’m prohibited form viewing 2 areas within your current signature titled “what is this” and “proofreading”; is this because I’m grouped as a new member? Please consider casting your vote for a full membership promotion for Cosmic Spore.

Again, thank you for your reply Enoon.
