Banner Created a banner by placing magnetic fridge letters on my carpet

Like the title states, I created a new banner, by placing magnetic fridge letters on my carpet (and a curious peak from one of our cats):



In Paint Shop Pro 7 I added some psychedelic coloring to the letters (yes I know, PSP7 is ancient and was released in the year 2000 by Jasc software, though I still love it since it starts instantly on about any modern computer, and I still have a valid a license for it ):



Please vote for both of these banners to add them to the rotating banner list, or not!

I like the second one, but I think the letters could benefit from slightly thicker borders to be more immediately readable.

One thing that makes my OCD eye twitch is the near miss on the symmetry of the carpet.

I already enlarged it a bit, though I agree it should indeed be bigger for a better visibility on a banner.

Oh darn, I totally missed that one in my haste to share my results to the world.

I already fixed this on one of the other photo's on my mobile phone, though in the end I decided to choose another photo to start with, and in that proces totally forgot that I had to fix the slight off-angle and especially the tapering of the carpet on the right.

EDIT: rechecked, and saw I also had my letters not correctly aligned on the carpet , so tomorrow a ruler will be used for better alignment.


Tomorrow in good daylight I'll remake these banners with both your suggestions and also hopefully better lighting and a better pre-made setting so I have less post-processing to perform afterwards, also I have to temporarily remove some letters from the fridge, since I made a nice message on it for my wife after I made the pictures for the banner.

I vibe more with the second one as well, and to add to all the other points that have been raised so far (border thickness, text alignment, etc), I also have to admit the font bugs me in a bad way. Especially that jagged, disproportionate sideways M in the Expand

He must have run out of Es as well as As and Ns, it's fridge magnets

I've looked, and it's very difficult to obtain fridge magnet letters in Carolingian typeface
