Crystals below naptha layer?

I noticed these long needle-like crystals floating around in my naptha layer when I do pulls. They mostly rest on the MHRB + lye layer and under the naptha later.

It's worth noting it's taking a ridiculous amount of time for me to do pulls. I'll add naptha, stir, leave it sitting for like... 10 hours, and then come back later when I'm not busy.

It's not lye, is it?

its possibly dmt.. maybe your naphtha evaporated and got saturated and the dmt is precipitating, but since its not soluble in the lye layer, it floats on top between the naphtha and the lye.. you could separate as much as the naphtha as you can, and leave those crystals there where the layers meet, because when you add more fresh (maybe warm) naphtha it should be dissolved.

Next time close the container better so it doesnt evaporate

Hey Mercury_Hg sup ?
I have the exact same thing happening as well . I have looked real close and believe it is DMT falling out of the nap layer and depositing on top of the mhrb/lye mixture .
This happens only when I leave the nap soaking for a day or more in a non heated place . I have skimmed off the remaining nap layer and pick up all the goods deposited on top of the mix . Any NaOH I pick up during this process I just remove before precp. Sometimes if I am processing a couple batches I just remove the first inch of mix or so and add it to my new batch and continue from there .

Works for me ! :d

Thanks for the info! That's what I did, it was actually over the course of several days in my room at room temperature.

Unfortunately I was moving and didn't opt to take the MHRB + lye mixture with me. I'm sure I wasted quite a bit, but I've got lots more to work with and I've learned a bit :).
