cyproheptadine Is the drug sometimes used when people have serotonin syndrome. Could you preload with it to prevent serotonin syndrome altogether? Does it cancel or minimize the trip? Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Have you ever had serotonin syndrome or know anyone who has? Is it something to keep on hand in case of emergencies? I see you can get it online otc at least for pets anyways. Just trying to learn about this drug any info is helpful.

More important question, is it safe. I have read it is not to be combined with an MAOI. What do they give people who get serotonin syndrome from Ayahuasca does anyone know? Have you or anyone you know ever had serotonin syndrome from ayahuasca, and if so what did the hospital do?
It is discussed here but we need more testing. It would likely dampen it significantly depending on dose. But if you try to please report back. I suspect it would have a greater antagonist (blocking effect) if used before a trip vs during. However nothing anecdotal has been reported on nexus yet.
It is a histamine and would be a safe mix in ayahusca but as stated it may dampen the trip. Ayahusca won't cause serotonin syndrome unless mixed with say a pharmaceutical MAOI then there would be a greater risk. RIMAs like harmala is alot safer. The risk of serotonin syndrome is very very low with ayahusca itself.
