It was Louis Lewin, a German jew, who did the first Peyote extracts in 1888. Still calling natives uncivilized in his paper and injecting the extract into a rabbit, which subsequently died. Guess you can't have it all.

The German doctors were brought to the U.S. and went to work for Project
Paperclip. ALL these doctors had been insulated against war crime charges.
The Nuremberg prosecutors were SHOCKED that 'U.S. authorities' were using
the German doctors despite their criminal past.

The word "zeitgeist" is a perfect description for that behavior. The US would have been delighted by Hitler if he had been a protestant and spoke English.
