Hello,

I used this quantities: 500 ml water, 50 g mimosa, 50 g NaOH and 100 ml naphta ( x 3= 300 ml ) in total.

Now, when I put all of it in the freezer I get crystals, but they seem to be water crystals ( ice ) because when I filter them out of it they disappear. When I let all of the naphta evaporate instead of putting it in the freezer there's a dark brown substance left.... and that's all,, How can this be? Please help...

your crystals arent strong enough to stand the room temp filter..

freeze it again and then when you've got crystals pour the naptha into another container.
let the empty, crystal-encrusted container air dry(I use a fan) and then scrape..

for some reason room-temp naptha will melt the stuff instantly, so you gotta seperate it before drying.

I did that. I even had the container ande filter in the freezer while filtering the whole stuff.... Didn't work either. If I just let the container dry ( let all the naphta evaporate ) it should just work wright? Now it looks as if there is just no dmt in the naptha....

Maybe it has to do with the way I separated the naptha from the rest of the substance... I had no pipet ( is that even english? :p ) or somethng like that and I just gutted all of the naphta out in a glass ( the substance was in a coca cola bottle ) and than separated the naphta from the glass using an injection needle ( without the actual needle ) to suck out the naptha. Or does it not matter wether the naphta shakes or ruffly moves and does the dmt just be in it?
