Delaying "Edit by user"

Could the "Edit by user" message be delayed a bit? If I edit my post 30 seconds after posting, I still get that message. It is usually just a grammar error, so it happens really often. Could it be delayed to something like a minute or two?

most forums I vist won't display the edit message unless someone has replied.
in other words you can edit your post without the "edited message" appearing until someone replies.

just a thought.
