DMT - A water spirit?

D.M. Turner has a chapter in his book, The Essential Psychedelic Guide, dedicated to the theory that DMT is a water spirit: D. M. Turner - DMT ~ Water Spirit
Very interesting read, For those who don't feel like reading that chapter now, it basically comes down to the fact that DMT, being a molecule that is mostly present in jungle plants, coming from wet environments, gives mainly blissful experiences when used in a moist environment, and really doesn't like to be smoked in say a desert. On the other hand mescaline, being a desert molecule, gives very positive experiences dry surroundings. I find this a very interesting idea, but haven't been able to check this out for myself since I live in a quite wet country with water everywhere. Have some of you also had experiences that support this idea? I have read both D.M. Turners books and really enjoyed them. Some of his ideas are going very far, but they contain some of the most outrageous trip reports out there. Would be nice to hear what you guys think! Peace
 
Interesting idea of anthropormphic drugs. From this POV, best spot for tripping is a deep forest. A lot of humidity, I say...

As for DMT being a water spirit...

No. It's a neurotransmitter, among other things. DMT has this incredible ability to make the user highly delusional at times.

My house front yard is a bay,
and one day on spice, i decided to vape some (actually knowing about DM Turner's thing about water) and it was a very windy day.
Took a couple long drags and walked out the front door....
I looked at the water and the waves looked like they were those old chinese drawings (like in this picture) and then the weirdest thing happened.
The wind literally blew my hair back at the exact time I 'expected' it to and my arm was stained orange roses, and I looked back at the water and...then I felt so good I went back into my house and started crying....

So.

Can anyone here since the last postings expand on DMT and its elemental or spiritual connection to water as described in


I plan on trying my first trip close to a lake in the winter when frozen.

Can anyone add to this?

Do you think it would be advantageous to do the following...

I was thinking if the spirit of DMT if it is indeed a water spirit, would it be respectful and / or pleasing to the spirit to sprinkle some MH root powder in the water on the body? or fast prior drinking only lots of water or engage in any other water based activity?

I whole heartily agree that DMT has a deep connection with water. I had an Ayahuasca trip that really highlighted this. I was not completely past the threshold and decided to drink some of the spring water I had procured for the experience. As I drank the water I closed my eyes and saw and felt all the water molecules align into shining, rotating star tetrahedrons which entered my body and expanded filling my whole being with light. It was quite awesome 😁

Also if you all want to see water in a whole new way I highly recommend this documentary:thumb_up:

Talking about water, have you heard about the benefits of replacing normal table salt with Himalayan Salt + drinking loads.

Just replacing my normal table salt (sodium chloride) with Himalayan Salt combined with 2-3 liters of water a day makes me feel so alive! a holistic practitioner pointed me to Himalayan Salt, she stated there is no upper limit to how much you can have as long as you drink enough!

Great for a salt lover like me!

I may trip after drinking some of it along with lots of spring water then drink some when tripping :)

Ya it was one of my favorite Aya moments, the previous day we had hiked to a hot spring, brought back several gallons of water which was then purified with solar energy and chilled outside;as it was winter. This put lots of good energy into the water, which I'm sure the DMT allowed me to directly experience. :d

Also where and how would one go about getting Himalayan Salt? It sounds like something I would love to try.

I have heard of people charging water with the suns rays and other methods, it makes total sense if DMT is indeed a water spirit or has some sort of elemental or other connection to water, that charged natural water would have such a glorious effect.
