DMT Benzoate: feedback from regular users?

Hi fellow travellers,

I tend to poke my head into the Nexus every few years to see what's new and this time I'm really intrigued by DMT Benzoate. Ease and consistency of extraction, stable shelf life and variety of viable ROAs all make it seem like an attractive alternative to the usual freebase methods. The only thing that concerns me is the safety aspect of vaporizing the benzoate (even under careful temperature-controlled conditions).

Has anyone been using the benzoate for a while now, particularly vaping? I'm very interested to hear your feedback from a safety perspective (any identified or suspected health impacts etc)

And lastly, many thanks Loveall, Brennendes Wasser and others who developed and tested this extraction path.

Peace out.

I wouldn't say regular user but I've vaped dmt benzoate on multiple occasions with no issues noted. Had a few big sessions with it too. No noticed lung irritation or anything from myself or friends. Just the after taste of oranges from using d-limo to crash it out.

Many thanks, Trip - much appreciated.

The literature claims decomposition of benzoic acid involving release of benzene at around 500 degC, but I wonder if decarboxylation might start to occur closer to the vaporization range that BW found. Although, if sufficient amounts of benzene were released, then surely lung irritation would be experienced. I'll do some testing of my own.

Scroll down to dmt benzoate for data on vaporising temps.

Iirc correctly the benzoate salt decomposes at much higher temps. So the temperatures from BWs data is a safe range to start for dmt benzoate.
