Dmt found in urine?

Migrated topic.

I've recently been in trouble with the law and am in the middle of a trial to try to fight things off. The quart hasn't tested me yet and I don't expect them to. But I do see a counciller for old habbits that I have gotton over. She does piss test me not often but she does. I was wondering if DMT shows in piss or mouth swabs. I'm pretty sure the ones she uses doesn't specifically say DMT or tryptamines but I'm a bit nervous.

And with this wonderful pile of fluffy white dmt I just cant let it sit! lol

Its not even on the standard drug test list (first antibody screen optiates, cocaine, benzos, PCP, THC, Meth) but even if it was it would be quite a feat to pull it out of urine/blood/swab by GC-MS unless the tested you right after smoking.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong here but I think not.
It gets torn down so fast there is no chance.

Everyone already has DMT in their urine already so it's a little iffy. They could test for it if they wanted to, but it would be pointless, people don't have the same level consistently at all.

I was under the understanding that there was not even a test devised for it.

People have devised detection tests for dmt in the urine; these involve some chromatographic technique coupled to mass spectrometry. These detection methods have been documented since the 70s when scientists were measuring urine dmt among healthy and schizophrenic individuals in search of a correlation between dmt and psychotic illnesses.

These methods need some good experts and heavy equipment to carry out properly and they're not as easy as the usual "field detection tests". What is more, since dmt rapidly metabolised by the body, these methods detect some metabolites of it that are used as surrogate markers for the "actual" amount of dmt in the body.

Which means that yes, using chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry one can measure levels of metabolised dmt. And every single person would come out as positive. But as regular dmt users are concerned, we do not know how long it takes for these metabolites to be cleared off the body. This leaves open the possibility that dmt smokers may show up to have unusually high dmt content in their system.

(in which case, just claim: i'm a schizo bro, whit's the problem???:D)

But this is my point, they cannot test to see if someone has used DMT. They just don't have a test designed to do that.

5-HO-DMT (bufotenine) is also found in urine and is naturally produced in the brain of human beings. There's also talk about 5-MeO-DMT occurring in the brain, but I'm not so sure about that. Does anyone know?

ok so.. as for dmt in urine and blood detection:

KAPLAN, J. et al. Blood and urine levels of N,N-dimethyltryptamine following administration of psychoactive dosages to human subjects. Psychopharmacologia (Berl.) 38, 239--245 (1974)

in this file (Ill try to attach here), which I just skimmed read, seems to say that after a couple of hours, amounts are back to baseline.. feel free to take a more in depth look (also its from 1974, maybe the techniques now are better), so seems hard that anybody could detect it even, say, a day after dosing

as for the 5-meo naturally occuring, if you can have access to this file:

Franzen F, Gross H. Tryptamine, N,N-dimethyltryptamine, N,N-dimethyl-5-hydroxytryptamine and 5-methoxytryptamine in human blood and urine. Nature 1965;206:1052.

I guess it would answer your question..I dont have a subscription to it unfortunately.. Ill try to see if there´s anything newer that I have access to about this question
