DMT is a lot like....

Migrated topic.
That's just TOO much of information for me ..

For real, you are most likely not the first person experiencing love trough Aya/DMT

I think DMT feels more like you're being loved. It's loving. I dunno if this is a personal attribution, but the source of the "love" feels external, which makes some sense.

Mercury_Hg, you do not share my opinion?
That does HIGHLY unsatisfy me.
I doubt i can ever regain my confidence regarding this subject.

😉

Mr. DMT, I agree that love is experienced through DMT and has likely been experienced by many DMT users, however, I think that what KwisatzHaderach is trying to point out is that the connection between DMT and Love is so often misunderstood. To me DMT is absolutely perfect and evokes the most pure form of human emotion--love. In many ways I find DMT synonomis with love.

We must all become aware of this DMT-love connection at some point and Im glad that KwisatzHaderach has become aware of it. KwisatzHaderach, much love and safe travels with many more meaningful lessons leading the way 😉.

Yes mogascreeta, that is exactly what I was trying to point out. It is not that I have become aware of the DMT/love analogy but I have become aware of people trying to find answers in gifting entities, telecommunicating aliens etc. when the answer is as simple as the concept of love. Yet DMT, just like love, is often easily misunderstood/confused by our human concepts.

Thank you for the understanding and I am looking forward to more meaningful lessons. But I think that perhaps this is an important baseline for future explorations.

thankyou

I really don't see the point in creating a thread with sort of information everybody experiences anyway and KNOWS already.
I don't think, there is value about a conversation about "basic insights" which everybody HAS to understand and HAS to learn before the trips get more interesting.

Well, at the very least, you got to vent, right? :)

I'm not sure everyone here would even agree with this statement, so I think there is in fact value in mentioning these basic insights. As trip reports and theories increase in complexity, there exists the threat of becoming disillusioned in our own human musings. The simple things are often the most meaningful, something I feel this community would do well to remember.

Love can take on many forms. for example, the love I feel toward my mother isn't the same kind of love I feel toward a close friend and that's not the same as the love I feel toward a lover. I'm glad to see that you have so much love for so many things. I hope the love you feel for your life isn't the same love you feel for money 😉 .

For what reasons do you love power and money? They are simply the means....what is your goal? You ascribe the word "love" to these concepts, but loving power and money is very different then loving the universe, flowers, people.
What does it even mean to love something? Whence comes the desire to claim the love of something? What are the results of truly loving anything?

I hardly believe there are any concrete answers to any of these questions....turns out love isn't so simple a concept after all.

I love power and money too. I can handle it.

You certainly have a different perspective than most other on these boards I feel. I've yet to find anyone that enjoys the ego-death experience yet is still trapped by the ego game of power and money. The truth will set you free.

And since we are going to talk about love, I've always found this to be a great attempt to define Love in all senses:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

And Like Ms.Minx mentioned Aya and DMT taught her to Love herself which is part of the give and take that Love exists as. One must Love oneself (take) before you can properly Love outside of you (give). But I think that once you start to Love yourself your love prioritizes itself to important people/experiences in your life rather than material concepts.

Yes Love is YOU.
And when applying Love your world will love you back.

And true Love is a mirror like DMT, showing you that at the end of the path there is only yourself.

thankyou

And what if power / money enable you to, by means of their very nature, change the world for better? Would it be alright to love money / power, then?

Power and money might be able to change the world for the better, but what exactly is "for the better". By their very nature, power and money are finite, and will run out, regardless of how much you might have. In the practice of bettering the world, your money and power will transfer to those who may not share your views. Power is power over other people, and if you are forcing them to change, the choice of improvement is taken. You can't make people become better, they must choose to. If you attempt to change the world using a flawed monetary system, how effective can you be? We humans have created an abstract view of what "fair" is, and as long as your happiness is based on money, you will never be happy as long as your neighbor has more than you. Because it's not fair.

I am in no way saying good will not be done, but I do believe the most worthwhile changes to be had will not be catalyzed by power and money. You may feed a few mouths or do some other very good work, but what then has been changed that cannot be unchanged? If you want to change the world, look beyond potentiating survival...look to transform the human experience.
I would rather teach the homeless man walking down the street how to farm and feed himself rather than buy him some fast food so he doesn't have to dig through trash to get the money to do so.
Money and power can only be used to affect those in the system they are derived from, and I'm not sure there is anything to be gained by becoming acclimated to this system.

Spread happiness and awareness rather than money. Love and compassion transcend any power created by man.

....

I actually just thought of a very apt analogy in the form of The Lord of the Rings. The One Ring is an item of unbelievable power and means. The problem is that it is evil by nature. Anyone attempting to do good with its power, even the extremely powerful (Gandalf, Galadriel), would be corrupted by it. Even though they intended to do good, only evil would be done through them. Granted, it's only an analogy, but I like it.
