DMT MAKING EVERYTHING LOOK BLUE??

Does anyone know what might be the cause or reason why the dmt I have is making everything look dark blue?? Usually when I look across the room (when I don't blast off) everything I initially see is clear with rainbow colors. I know I am pretty in tune with my journeys and can tell right away if its too hot or not good. Something is off with the stuff I have but I cannot pinpoint what it is. Right after I took a fairly good sized hit everything looked dark blue. Ive never experienced this before and would be grateful for any insight. Thanks

Hello @sarahn321

First of all, let me extend a warm welcome in the Nexus! And then a few questions:

Is this the first time you're trying this batch? How exactly are you vaporizing the DMT and inhaling it? Did you extract it yourself, and if so - what tek did you use? Are you taking any meds or other substances before vaping? Do you have any existing conditions that might be linked with this occurrence?

Although it doesn't sound like anything unheard of in those realms, it merits further investigation for sure.

The only way of knowing is to test the drug you have, no one here can tell you if your dmt is dmt.
Having said this, the description of the effects is not out of the range of effects that can occur with the use of dmt.

Test your stuff if you didn’t make it yourself.

Hello and welcome!

Many, if not most, users have reported that if they persist with DMT use it eventually gets 'weird'. But @Varallo's point on being sure of the identity of your material is very important.

Perhaps you could also share some accounts of your other experiences, and the associated circumstances, to help give a bit more perspective on the situation.

I've never 'blasted off' but with a mimosa rue brew I've had my entire vision become a red hue no other colors. Then it went into the experience since I did take a large dose. I'd say it is what it is. You should test your material if you are unsure what it is from a safety point but I'd say the experience is yours and sometimes you just need to take a break and live life a bit before reattempting.

Purely recreational use I've noticed is quite variable sets the set/mood isn't always the best.

Hi! I hope I'm not too late for this.

That dark blue you talk about is EXACTLY what I've been experiencing for a while. It is very dark, but very vivid. My DMT is 91% pure, so, even though you should always test your stuff, don't immediately think it is any impurity.

I've become quite fond of the colour and it makes me feel safe now, but at the beginning I didn't know what was I supposed to feel towards it. I might say it is always a closed eye visual for me, but I never try to open my eyes in case my mind feels like I try to hold on to my usual perception, so who knows if it would be open eyed too.

Anyways, I'd love to know more about your experience or anyone else's about this, as I never found any other similar experiences. It's my most recurrent visual!

Very interesting....
Theres a traditional meditation practice called 'kasina' that involves developing and expanding colours, one of which is dark blue in order to steady the mind until it expands to infinity.

I see correspondences between some of the DMT effects and meditation, however this would be fascinating indeed if specific faculties of mind usually only cultivated through meditation were just spontaneously opening up like that.

Don't know how I managed to overlook that I've meditated on the colour blue on and off - to generally good effect - for nearly a quarter of a century, but I'll be trying a darker shade of blue from now on (maybe listening to some Kenny Burrell 😁 )
Anyhow, very interesting to know that this has a name.

Very similar to this blue, actually! So good to see more references. I'll say tho, is so much purer, vibrant, definite (and maybe darker, but still vibrant?) when it "appears "in the mind" –to say it in some way–.
I'll check on this. Thanks!!
