DMT N-oxide formation

A friend of mine recently attempted to extract DMT from MHRB using a STB tek.
After freeze precipitation and pouring off the naptha, he let his jar of crystals sit out on the counter for two days or so for the rest of the naptha to evaporate (it took that long, actually)

Was this the wrong thing to do or would much n-oxide formed after this long of a period of time?

i dont think DMT N-Oxide is soluble in Naptha. any yellowish, orangish color you see is likely just some impurities, but i prefer to leave these impurities in there it changes the experience. also just a tip when drying out the jars, pour off the naptha and turn the jar upside down on a piece of cardboard. the cardboard absorbs the fluids that drip down and helps the jar dry quicker.
