DMT-N-oxide to DMT freebase zinc question

SWIM has a question about what type of zinc to use when converting DMT-N-oxide to DMT freebase

There are 3 main types (as far as I can tell) of zinc available

1) Zinc Oxide
2) Zinc Stearate
3) Powdered metal zinc

Zinc type (1) I am assuming this would not be used as it is already oxidized? but I dont know?
Zinc type (2) I have no clue if this would work or not?
Zinc type (3) seems like the best type to use but I am still unsure if I should use the raw metal itself.

I'm not sure what the difference between those 3 types are, but search for "elemental zinc powder". I just ordered some myself a few hours ago

I think what you mentioned would be the "zinc metal powder" I have seen advertised. As zinc in its pure elemental form it is a metal
