DMT synthesis

I notice that much of the discussion here centres around DMT extraction. So I am wondering if any members have also tried synthesis. I am particularly curious to know how these compare and any experiential difference/s in the resulting products.
 
There is no discussion about synthesis here as it is not allowed :!: 😉

And in regards of effects, if you use a pure extract and a pure synthetic product, then there cant be any difference.
It is even debatable if any other stuff in MHRB is psychoactive, so its hard so say if different experiences from different extracts are not just placebo and therefore wont be unlike a synthetic product.
 
If you want to read up on experiences with non-extracted DMT, you can read about Nicholas Sand. Also Strassmann's studies with DMT were done with synthetic material provided by David E. Nichols. Properly extracted and purified DMT should be indistinguishable to properly synthesized and purified DMT - unless you believe in concepts similar to vitalism (nothing wrong with that, as long as you acknowledge that the placebo effect can be even stronger with the increased suggestibility while under the influence of a psychedelic).

Any synthesis talk would not be fitting on this forum, as the attitude page states:

I can assure you that each and every practical DMT synthesis currently known will involve precursors which are both dangerous and watched.

I am currently not a full member, thus I can not react to your personal message. Also, I'd very much like to discuss 5-HO- vs 4-HO-DMT stability. I believe it is because of the position of the electron donating groups. https://doi.org/10.1002/ange.201910175 might be an idea (even though this is about the enzymatic pathways)...
