So I finished a batch of my first extraction at 3 pulls, but more pulls to come! For some awesome white christals and thought I would sample a bit. I don't have a digi scale, so eyeballing is my only option.
Loaded a bit maybe 10-15mg of spice in my rather large machine and melted the white spice premelt. It smoked a bit.. Oops! Then took a hit and layed back. Was looking up at the curtain and it has a wavy fold ruffles along the top which looked very weird like gills or something, so I looked over to my left and there is a deer head mounted on my wall which looked like it was coming alive, kinda creeped me out! So I shut my eyes to see trippy visuals and it was so faint but was like horizontal bars of light, like 70s style and like a curved hallway or foyer, but really hard to see. Full spectrum but very faint and hard to keep my eyes closed.
All and all it was a near misfire or just needed a hit or two more.
But this is what I wanted to have it light for the first few times to get used to it.

Gosh the torch lighter has a 3 inch heat zone from the flame.

I will make a picture of it what I saw when I get home. I will try to do this with every trip.

I use a vapor genie usually, I have read numerous posts saying how torch lighters are a must. I bought a torch lighter and tried to use it with a little mj for a test run and it burnt it pretty bad, I might try it again a little farther away but for now I only use a bic and break through in 1 hit (usually 40-50mg)so I don't see how its a necessity.

Ok. Thanks. Yeah I hear it said all the time, tourch is the best. I will try with a normal lighter next time.

Spice is weird.. Peculiar as Terrence M said. I can see where things can sway from light to dark and freak people out.
Just a question. Do you smoke it hold it in and lay back and close your eyes? Or leave eyes open for a bit then close them?

2nd dose -
damn! miss fire or extremely low doses... body tingles, drone sound, aching muscles (back mainly and feels like I want to stretch). I am getting smoke and slight visuals like shrooms or acid. but nothing to rave about. my dose is very light white x-tals about a little bigger than a match head and hit the pipe 3 times trying not to burn the spice. premelt. machine held up while lighting with touch lighter. the screwed up thing was in the middle of a hit the lighter would go out. I would shake it and it would light again. and so on... OK. need to refill it!
can someone show me a normal dose next to something I can judge size by? not in a pipe. but next to a pencil eraser or a USA / Canadian penny' or something! I don't want to eyeball my dose wrong and freak out in the trip.

So I think I asked the question, but I will ask again in more detail.

Can someone please show me what a dose looks like next to an object like a US or Canadian coin? so a pic of say a dose of 30mg and I will measure my dose based on the size next to that coin. please
I have no digi scale and feel I might end up in trouble if I guess'timate wrong. Or I might know if my smoking method is not working.

So far I hear the sound of going under and see a bit of visuals, but nothing real cool..... yet!

Ok here I am again.

I moved this post from the machine pipe posting as it is a trip report.

Just going to tell you about my new pipe! So I made a new machine pipe with a restaurant style vinegar bottle new. Drilled a hole in the bottom. This vinegar bottle has a glass body and metal unscrewable top with a little hole in the top. Inside I put a copper mesh and a bunch of spice. Let me tell you, paired with a torch lighter with heat going down only the hole, it produces the PERFECT hits!! I don't think you can ever make a mistake and burn the spice. I am trilled! Try and make one if you are having trouble vaping spice!

3rd trip report:
I smoked one toke and held it in... Then the sound comes, I have open eyes and looking at my curtans and christmas lights I have in my jam room while laying on the couch. Then everything turns so weird.. Then I try to light more but the lighter feels weird and looked multiplied, so I wait. The room is like it is pinching and stretching and the xmas lights I have are stretched in light beems. The whole thing was intense, so I remembered the saying SMILE! YOU ARE DOING DMT!! Then everything got happy and very bleepy sounding with bzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzz sounds. I close my eyes to see visuals and there is like light beems in patterns and looks like its opening up a hole and then there is like a circut board with more light beems as it stretches out. Then I grabbed the pipe for one more small blast that was left and off I took to more tripped out..
So what it really felt like was happy alien dweeble greeble beep... with my gilled curtains breathing and little beams of light. With buzzzing high pitched sounds. The more I smiled the more intense it got. Not a breakthough, but OH MAN. That was the best!!

Edit: now that I think of it, it was more like robot type feeling, like the 50s robot kids toys and zappers. Or if it was alien it was tech hifi stuff
