Just thought I'd throw this out the internet, haven't posted much lately. This is a (not)quick experience report as well as a general comparison between DMT and mushroom from my point of view. This is the first time I've done mushrooms.
Dose: 4g dried (unknown strain)
Ingested: 2g 9:00pm
Ingested: 2g 9:45pm
Fell asleep: 1:30am (aprox.)
First thing I noticed was they actually didn't taste that bad. Almost like bread sticks with a bitter aftertaste. I didn't notice any real apprehension like I do before doing DMT. I was very curious but I think the 20~ minutes of waiting and gradual onset was very nice. I first noticed a pleasant tingle throughout my body. I felt like the effects weren't strong enough with 2g so I decided to ingest the remaining 2g later on. I went into the living room to play some rock-band while I waited for the effects to kick in. I was doing pretty good, several songs went by without much difference. Finally, after playing free bird (long song) I noticed the effects. I was concentrating so hard through the long song that I didn't notice the changes. When the song was over I almost instantly noticed the TV had changed somehow and I was unable to focus well.
I went into my room, turned off the lights and sat down. I closed my eyes and could just barely make out some CEVs. After a few minutes I was feeling particularly dizzy, my head was getting heavy and difficult to hold up while my eyes were closed. Something I've always wanted to do with DMT is lay down rather than sit. I seized the opportunity and laid down in my bed. Within a short while the room was spinning, I weighed too much to move, and I was starting to notice something amazing about this experience...It was very much like a DMT experience. Now, whether or not this is just the way my brain interprets psychedelics or if there is actually a connection I can't say for sure.
I felt a female presence as I usually do with DMT. Instead of her being around me or represented by some alien she actually WAS me. I was exploring a very interesting futuristic house. It had many qualities of a "DMT room" and it was very psychedelic; changing, morphing, and breathing. I just laid there for a long time lost in this DMT like experience. It wasn't as strong because I was still aware of my body, but for a brief time it was fairly gone. Next part of experience my body no longer seemed to respond to my wishes. This woman who was inside me had taken over. Every movement that I made was not made by me, it was already planned out and I was simply executing the movement whether I wanted to or not. I was having what I would describe as orgasms but not in a sexual way. It was like nothing I've ever felt.
After the DMT-like experiences faded away I was left with a very altered brain function. My sense of smell, feeling, and sight where scrambled. I had trails, distorted sight and my emotions where just out of control. I could close my eyes and be lost in the patterns. I started hearing music like I do sometimes in my dreams. I was able to control it, create it, slow it, or let it run freely. It had many influences from shpongle It seemed like my thoughts were entirely random, I could think faster than normal making connections and moving onto new topics fast. A nice conclusion I made and remembered was that all my friends are a part of me. Not only do they influence my emotions but the memory of them is forever planted in my brain (electro ?) chemically and is thus part of my biology.
I got really hungry eventually and decided to make a late night snack. I think I made the most difficult eggs and toast ever. I had so much trouble focusing my thoughts. Every sound was amplified and it felt like an eternity waiting for my breakfast sausages to cook.
I sat down to eat at my computer, put on some headphones and turned on my music........Tool was the first in the play list. I dropped the fork and listened in awe. Hearing the first few seconds Aenema on mushrooms changed my life. Eventually I just couldn't stay awake, I ended up falling asleep with a nice tingle still running through me. Felt pretty terrible the next morning though. After some re-hydration I was grinning ear to ear though
I can definitely see why people would enjoy doing DMT with mushrooms.
[Edit]
Forgot to mention that my childhood memories seemed to come back randomly. It was strange though because I was remembering them but I didn't feel like they were my memories. I remember they are mine but somehow it was almost from a different life...Very much like the way salvia can work on your memories.
