Hi blackclo, I too experience DMT as very spiritual, when on it, I feel much more connected to my essence (God-self) and to other people. Although not all people are able to feel in sync with that, I note that some look at me a bit strangely!
Our wavelengths are too different, I guess. As far as its being only temporary...i feel that if approached in the right spirit, we can carry the experience over into our normal state of being, and become more tuned in on many levels. This is part of its purpose, I feel. And as far as that guy's theory that it depletes our own DMT reserves, that just doesn't resonate as true with me (I was going to write that I thought it was BS, and thought better of it
). I am a great believer in trusting our body wisdom. My own body is very sensitive, and I don't get the feeling that anything is being depleted, as was the case with Ecstasy where I definitely did get that feeling, back when I had not heard anything about the studies showing that it depletes our serotonin. I never took it again even though I had enjoyed the high while it lasted. You may be right that smoking DMT is more problematic than drinking a plant brew. I haven't smoked it yet, I do hope to, but I think I would go for the brew mostly, partly because what I've read of the smoking, is that it's a very short-lived though intense experience, this reminds me of cocaine which I never liked that much. When I do the brew, even just a low dose, I can feel the effects for hours, gradually tapering off, it's really nice. Lastly, I am a fan of the Pleiadians channeed through Barbara Marciniak, and in an account I read online of a group session, they had this to say on the subject: Interestingly, the Pleiadians also mentioned certain plants that can help us to reconnect to nature and help us in our healing process. In particular Ayahuasca (the mother vine) and Psilocybin mushrooms were mentioned many times during the the session, as psychotropic plants that hold the keys to the knowledge we've forgotten. And that is the only reason why they are illegal. They are intended to be used in a shamanic and healing way. Respect the sacredness of these plants.<< That'senough of a vote of confidence for me!
