Do you really need solvent?

Migrated topic.
So my first batch of changa worked out really nicely. I didn't have any solvent to hand so I put the DMT into a glass eggcup, then put that in a hot water bath until it started melting, then mixed in my herbs in more-or-less-equal 1:1 DMT/herb mix (by eyeball rather than weight since I don't have a decent set of scales).

Would there be much loss of potency this way with the DMT being heated to melting point? Otherwise it seems a pretty good way of making changa without waiting for solvents to evaporate.

Sure it will work, but you gotta ask yourself, is the DMT eavenly spread out amongst the herb? and is it infusing rather that just drying on the outside of the leaf?

And how does one eyeball 1:1 ratio of herb and Spice? Get a proper scale :)
