does anyone else get visuals when falling asleep

im just curious to know if anyone gets visuals when falling asleep because since opening my third eye a few months ago i seem to always see yellow expanding rings that keep appearing then dissapering in a slow and gentle manner. It used to bother me but it does not anymore and im interested to hear any similar visual experiences to mine that you might have when falling asleep.
 
i used to have full blown visions as a kid while laying in bed at night in the dark

nowadays i have visuals but not usually CEVs at night. I go into harmala-esque sequences though pretty easily and i can tune into a warm pressure in the center of my head that grows and can eventually lead to ayahuasca type visions sometimes.. although its different than aya in a way. The pressure has lingered ever since an entity stuck its hand in my head last summer.. but thats another story, lol

I wouldn't worry. many here report things very similar to your experiences
 
Some times of my life I did, others I dont notice anything, and sometimes I also get auditory phenomena, like hearing random conversations pop up in the head.. The hypnagogic and hypnopompic states are quite interesting, a lot of weird stuff happening in these transition consciousness states.
 
yes definitely. when i was a kid i would see awesome ideas for drawings but they were usually too detailed for my skills haha. i still get dream-like visions or visuals
 
yes i get that a lot. Both when i day-dream and just as i'm about to fall a sleep at night. I have two types of visual effects when falling a sleep; the first is ambient smooth stuff that's just there when i close my eyes. and the second type is fast flashing images from my imagination that comes after a while as i get more sleepy. I find both pleasant and the latter one is usually a confirmation of that i will soon be sleeping :)
 
I have only experienced a short portion of my life but when I fall asleep visuals are an usual thing. At times I can hear conversations between close friends and sometimes people I don't know. Visually, I usually see myself getting wrapped in a warm light like a blanket. I find this very comforting. As I get deeper into sleep, I usually end up in a visual environment that becomes my dream.

How does one know if they have opened their third eye?

Everyone goes through the visual hypnagogic transition to sleep, but not everyone has the ability/discipline to stay fully conscious as this happens.
 
once you open your third eye you will have no doubt its open, stranger things will start happening around you and i was then able to complete meditation where i was feeling the intense vibrations from the bottom of my feet up to my Crown Chakra / third eye area. some other symptoms where my dreams became alot weirder and i had sleep paralysis more often which is a gateway to astral projecting. this started when i used a binural beat to open the third eye which was avaliable free on a youtube video and as soon as i got halfway through listening to the beat the yellow rings appeared in my closed eye vision. before opening the third eye with the binural beat i had tried meditating but no imagery was present when doing this or even when falling asleep nor where the unmistakable vibrations.
 
Its called pre-hypnogogic imagery. I've noticed that if I'm with a girl who hasn't gone to sleep and I'm still talking while in the process of sleeping, I can easily project completely random things onto the shadows behind my eyes. Like I'll just start dreaming in a not so vivid way. The book "drugs of the dreaming" talks about this classification.

I'm familiar with the vibrations. I get them when I induce OBE's. I guess I just never attributed it to the third eye opening. I see it as your dream body or energy body awareness/activation.

If you don't mind me asking, what youtube video was it? Did you use headphones?

I would like to try it. I do get results when I listen to Hemisync binaural beats so I know they work but I'm very skeptical when it come to these youtube "chakra activation" clips.

I did use headphones and if the binural does not work the first time try it again and it should activate your third eye. Sit in a fairly darkened room without any background distractions and just close your eyes and allow it to work for you because if you are fearful or doubtful then the experience with this binural will leave you without results. If you are in fear then i suggest having a friend sit alongside you at the time who will just make sure you are ok and put your mind at rest but if you are confident enough to do it alone then go for it. Just remember this - If you want to learn and grow spiritually for positive reasons then you have absolutely nothing to fear or worry about and i wish you the best if you decide to use this.

I'm not afraid.😉 I've been using binaural beats for about 15 years via a mind machine and Hemisync so like I said, I'm familiar with it and know it works, I just doubt the efficacy of a You Tube source.

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a shot during my next meditation session.
