doing naptha rolls in plastc jugs????

swim has been doing a straight to base
and has been using 1 gallon distilled plastic jugs for the mixing of the lye and bark and water. then pouring it into glass gallon jars for rolling

well the rim on the jars is craping out and sludge is leaking all over swim floor and hands


so swim was wondering if he could just funnel the mixture back into the gallon plastic jugs and do the rest of his naptha rolling

or will naptha react to the plastic???

i'm not sure if it has aromatic hydrocarbons, which dissolve plastics (if it has a relatively high boiling point, it most likely has aromatics)

i'd advise against it. stick to glass

ahh, ok..figured you needed a temporary storage vessel in the meantime.

ok so swim is just gonna do 3 naptha rolls this go and skip the th one cus its just not worth it trying to re load it with naptha and roll it again. too leaky and yucky


he had the first and the 3rd roll sitting for a whole day
so hopfully this extra agitation and soaking time will help out with the lack of 4th roll
