Drying Coca extract

SWIM recently got a 16oz bottle of coca extract. alcoholic grade 46% - 48% ALC/VOL , 70 Proof.
If SWIM were to pour this into Pyrex tray under a fan and let the alcohol evaporate away.
Would there be a significant potency loss from oxygen and lack of refrigeration?
My guess is no but I'd like to be sure.

I'm not sure if it would degrade. I would test the extract as is a couple times to establish how much you need to get effects. then evap the same amount and see what the powder or goo does compared to the extract. I had an alcohol cannabis extract that I evapped and it became a tar. I alcohol extracted caapi and it evapped to a powder.


It may not evaporate to a dry powder and even if it does it may not be what you are looking for. From what I understand the most sought after alkaloids in that plant must be taken while the plant material is very very fresh. I believe that is why you can buy coca tea so easily...by the time you get it...most of the super-goodies have gone away.

So...if you're extract was made right away fresh it may have more of what I think you are looking for in it.

There should not be a significant potency loss and it most likely will evap to a sticky resin/goo that is rather difficult to work with, dosing the tincture as is would be much less troublesome ISO (in SWIMS opinion)
