Dumb Question? Is it possible to do an Acid cook then Naphtha Pull only?

For DMT from MHRB is it possible to remove the Baseification step? Spotted this process on a 'DMT Dave' Youtube video and my current thinking is that it doesn't make sense.

As in do some cooks with of the Root bark with Vinegar, then after straining / reducing volume by boiling down, go straight to the Naphtha pulls?
Does it pull?
What does it Pull?
I'm guessing its not Freebase?
Assuming it pulls, can this be used in a Glass Pipe or would it have to be made into Vape Juice?
What is the resultant DMT compound?
Guessing this wouldn't be a lip-melter?

Basification is an essential step. You can omit acidification and go straight to base (STB).

Trying to pull from acid soup won't work, and you have identified the reason in your post, you would not have converted the salt to free base.
