End phase of DMT oscillation

Migrated topic.

Hey there,

does anyone have a similar experience at the end of a DMT trip.
A number of friends have described it, and all independently so thought it'd be interesting to see if others had too.

i.e.
A sort of winding out of the 'experience' from the body/mind.

As a visual example it would be similar to an oscillation wave [much like a snake, fish, centipede movement]
but the waveform starts bigger [higher amplitude and wavelength and then reduces in amplitude and wavelength until it disappears].
The effect is often particularly noticeable winding out of the arms and through the fingers,

I've attached a basic image that is roughly along the lines of what i'm talking about [except it should get less high as it goes to the right].

It is often associated with a 'wind up' sound, much like you get from speeding up the delay frequency on a classic analog delay unit [and used as an effect in electronic dub music]. This is also sort of similarly described in this post "there's that music again"

Hi rawmo,

If I understand your question correctly, I would say it reminds me more of a pharmahuasca experience than vaped DMT. Unless,of course, a significant MAOI was eaten before the session? This has produced pharma type effects with my husband (waves of intensity).

Yeah it also happens in ayahuasca,
But i find it more noticeable in a DMT trip.

There is a semi similar type of experience particularly noticeable in ayahuasca where you get 'waves of intensity', where a phenomenon being experienced builds in intensity [sort of like a positive feedback loop] until it almost seems too much, and then a 'limiting factor' kicks in. [e.g. the 'beings' slowing/stopping the experience (and you open your eyes), or 'coming in over the top' and providing a 'filter' on the intensity so it doesn't get more than your mind can handle.

But this is different from the phenomena at the end of the DMT trip where it is an increasing of frequency of the wave [to an 'infinitely fast movement as the amplitude gets smaller and smaller] as it leaves your perception [i.e. you come back into 'normal space'].
Perhaps as an example, where you are watching the universe at a really fast wavelength [i.e. super high oscillation] and then as you leave that 'DMT universe of perception' you notice your 'coming back down' to your day to day state by seeing the DMT world seem to 'speed up' to the level it is beyond your ability to experience at our standard 'wavelength of experiences'.

does that make more sense?

When I'm coming off vaped DMT, I definitely get this oscillation. It's an oscillating sound, not high pitched, but not low either. I found it increased in amplitude and frequency whenever I focused on it, but generally it started loud after I exited hyperspace and gradually faded.

I very much enjoy the sound, possibly because of it's association with coming down, which really is blissful.

yup, totally get that sound as well.

i'll have a go at reproducing it some time with a delay unit and then see if there is similarity to yours. : )

Interesting observation Rawmo.
I do often feel a sort of frequency from spice in the later parts of my journeys that sort of remind me of crystal ringing along with clear crystal pattern visions.
I have no doubt that, and truly feel when on spice that our minds/brains have operating frequencies that we have some rather limited control over that normally go up and down with our energy from things like food intake and the time of day, but we don't normally hear this. I think spice ups our energy levels very much and also our awareness of our (operating systems) so to speak so that we hear the tunes and tones of our energies and emotions much more clearly.
