Can we test this?  What's a process for converting the mescaline citrate to something like mescaline HCl?  And then we'd need to get rid of the excess citric acid.

Edit: How about dissolve the mescaline citrate in water, add HCl to convert mescaline citrate to mescaline HCl, evaporate to yield mescaline HCl with excess citric acid.  Wash with ethyl acetate to remove citric acid.  This process assumes mescaline HCl is not soluble in ethyl acetate.
