Extracting DMTs from naphtha with acetone?

So, theoretically DMTs are very soluble (souble??) in acetone.
Acetone shouldnt react with naphtha. It's easy to evap.
I HATE THAT SMELL of naphtha.
If Jimmy tries to evap naphtha near me i get headaches.

Could one pour acetone into naphtha and get DMTs out?

If anyone can help Jimmy and me we'd appreciate that. Otherwise there's trial and failure (or maybe WIN :twisted: )

Naphtha and acetone are miscible with each other, you'll only achieve in diluting the naphtha with acetone if you mix them together. There's no layer separation.

If you evap your naphta before an open window with a fan until saturation then freeze precip you shouldn't have any smell issue.
And by the way acetone doesn't really smell good either

I recommend heating all pulls and allowing them to cool slowly at room temp.

If it's slow enough you hardly get any oils in the crystal lattice and then you can pretty much finish it up in the fridge, then freezer and use less naphtha for your pulls.

Evaps shouldn't be needed. Bad for the environment and your wallet!

Anyway, thank you for answering so quickly ^^

I will do a freeze percip. but when i filter, particles of freebase get stuck in the filter :shock: so unfair. Maybe you guys have some method of filtering?

If you recrystalise slowly you will get some big fat crystals. You can then decant the naphtha out of the container, tip it on it's side so the remaining naphtha drips out, then leave to dry.

Crystals can then just be poked off with a pencil.
