Extracting from Pedro Resin. Fail.. Help.

UPDATE: I ate the mescaline goo, and even though it was a small amount (about twice the size in the picture) I had a really strong experience.

This was before I tried the small amount I had.
[Okay, so I did this to my San Pedro Resin and somehow I ended up with nothing in the end product. I am not very knowledgeable with this stuff so please help me out. I still have the basified cacti solution and the xylene (which looks yellow.) I'm really not sure where i messed up. :surprised :thumb_dow :shock: :?:]

I got to the point where i salted it out and there was only a small amount of brown goo.

BTW, the resin was made from 4 feet of San Pedro Resin using House's resin tek.

Mescaline Extract out of San Pedro Resin.

Ingredients
• 50+ g of San Pedro Resin made with a water extraction.’
• Distilled Water
• Distilled white vinegar
• Sodium Hydroxide
• Xylene

1. Dissolve the resin into water/vinegar.
a. Mix 600 ml of distilled water with 200 ml of Distilled white vinegar.
b. Put that in a pot on the stove and heat to a boil.
c. Put in the resin and lower temp to a simmer.
d. Dissolve the resin into the water completely.

2. Filter the water.
a) Filter the solution through a coffee filter.
b) Let the liquid decant overnight. (I did for 3 days)
c) Filter again.

3. Basify the solution.
a) Mix in 15 g of sodium hydroxide into 50 ml of distilled water and mix till dissolved.
b) Pour into the resin/water solution until a ph of 12.8.

4. Pulling the mescaline alkaloids.
a) Mix in 20 ml of xylene into the basified solution in a container with a top.
i. Stir it around and lightly swirl. (Do this for about 5 minutes)
ii. Put the mixture into a separatory funnel and separate. (save both layers)
iii. Repeat 2 more times.
b) Mix in 25 ml of xylene into the basified solution.
i. Stir it and lightly swirl for 10 minutes.
ii. Put into sep. funnel (save the xylene layer)

5. Salting out the freebase mescaline.
a) Pour 3 water/1 Vinegar into the Xylene layers.
b) Separate the layers and save both.
c) Repeat 2 times save the water/vinegar and

6. Put in oven at 170 with door open to evaporate.

Actually ended up having a strong intense experience. Was nice. I think if done right this tek works nice.

I let the pulls sit for longer than it says. each one about 30 minutes.

oh yea... and ask pops if you can borrow a sonicator

Nothing happened Benzyme. Nothing came out of the vinegar except a tiny amount of brown goo.

wait... is that what was left after salting the xylene?
if so, that is the alks in a supersaturated solution. dissolve in
boiling distilled water, and evaporate

It's litterally like about one inch long and a cenemeter in diameter. The amount is TINY. I'll show you a picture. It looks like there is still mescaline in the xylene too. But you'd think salting it out would get all of it. IDK... but my cacti tea that's basified has precipitate looking stuff in. I might try to base it a little more and do it again.

But you are saying to put the product i got into boiling water?

some thoughts:
i shoot for ph 14 when doing the np extration

4' of potent cacti could yield 1.2 grams. standard pc clone you might be lucky to get 2-300mg.(i bet your goo weighs at least 200mg)

- too much vinegar was used for saltings. welcome to the goo factor.

It sounds like you did everything about right. There are two possibilities I see...

Were you sure that you mixed the xylene thoroughly with the basified layer? Try adding more base and using a larger volume of xylene and mix with the basified mix well. Take that xylene and salt with water and vinegar. Evap that and see if you get anything.

If that doesnt work then you likely just had some bunk san pedro clone. It is pretty common. SWIM only got 400mg from a recent extraction of 4ft pedro clone.

i dont like using vinegar for this reason, hcl is cheap and readily available. excess hcl evaps off too

UPDATE: I took that resin. I'm frying now. It is strong for how little i got. I'm getting visuals and a body high.

The excess acetic acid evaporates off to from what i know.
