Hey guys
I’m new to doing my own extractions . I’ve been doing S/B extraction and after freeze precipitation I’ve been scraping the the dish and putting the crystals on butcher paper to dry however when I do this I’m losing some crystal by it turning in to sticky goo. What is the best way to harvest spice from cold dish and what is best way to dry the spice out

Sounds like the cold dish and the drying method are the problem, so let's get it right.

After pouring off the solvent, replace the lid on the container and put it back into the freezer upside down or tilted onto one side for the remnants to drain off. Quickly pour off the remaining drips and replace the lid while the container warms back up to room temperature naturally. Once it's warm enough that condensation won't form, open the lid and use a fan to evaporate off the last traces of solvent. Stretching a piece of panty hose over the container will help keep dust off. Once no trace of naphtha odour remains, you should be able to scrape up your crystals cleanly - unless your source material is of a type which tends to produce goo, like certain acacias.

And, welcome to the Nexus!

Hi @Transform I've been following your advice in replacing the container lid until condensation doesn't form any more (I basically wait a few min longer until it's room temp or close to it). But I've seen tek/comments where this step is not done- they just drain the naptha, and then put in front of a fan on an angle. My question to you - what does this extra step do (returning the lid to the container until the condensation stops) functionally? What affect does it have on final results? Thanks!
