intro: the idea behind this tek was
to assess some of the problems with
the current STB teks and high volumes
of bark and evaporation process.
for impatient people like me.
AFAIK this is the FASTEST way from
bark to smoke with something of the
region of 1.5 hours maybe longer for your
first batch; yeild is on par with STB
+ Red spice extraction.
Many people (like myself) fall into
the trap of attempting to do 3Kg of
mimosa at once and simply can't handle
it in terms of volume, and then
end up hoarding their sludge because
they have too much and simply don't
get the yeilds they used to. etc.

MAIN POINTS OF INTEREST

This tek is quick and supplies about
4 - 5 hits VERY quickly, to get you
going, and when you want more, you can
simply do another bottle or six.
This tek is different in that its done
in small, small batches, exactly
how you would smoke your dmt anyway.
Additionally, you can just chuck the
depleted sludge, bottle and all,
right into the bin with no trouble.
don't hoard your gunk in hope of gaining
more DMT like i did! its pointless!!
also, don't leave your gunk sitting for
months, otherwise you'll loose alot
to DMT N-Oxide!!
use AS LITTLE naptha/xylene as possible
and you will be rewarded with quick
evaporation times!
There are NO massive cookdowns, NO a/b
extractions, no filtering, no fuss,
just 4 - 5 hits at a time,
and you can do it as many times as you
still have mimosa. This tek
because of the tiny batches, is also
very efficient. Your jurema also remains
in good condition and doesn't break down
while you are smoking your way through.
The fan heater I feel, is also a major
step forward.

You will need:

An electric fan heater
optional - extra fan
Glass baking dish
Turkey Baster
Small Pippette/Syringe
2L fizzy drinks bottle
Naptha (White spirit / Colemans Fuel)
Xylene (Paint thinner, xylol)
NaOH (sodium hydroxide, drain cleaner)
Funnel
Distilled water
Preground Mimosa hostillis rootbark (Jurema powder)

fill 1/8th - 1/4 of a 2L plastic
drinks bottle with distilled water
excess naoh, and do 3 naptha pulls.
remove the soft inners of the lids!
this is quite important if you dont
enjoy smoking dissolved plastic!
only use about 1 cm - 1/2 inch of
solvent. Do them at 15mins, 15mins
and 3 hours. then do the xylene.
heat in a water bath, by boiling
the kettle and using a kitchen pot
or using the fan heater at a distance.
Chuck the sludge bottle in the bin,
and evaporate the extracts with a
fan heater on max and desk fan. Evap
the first pull while the third is
heating/sitting. Agitate frequently
but don't mess it up too much near
to when your going to seperate them.
recrystalize if you wish.
use your remaining mimosa for other
bottles.

Lets go!
------------------------------------
1) Take a cup and a half or thereabouts of your preground mimosa hostillis, and using the funnel and perhaps a chopstick or similar, get it into the 2L plastic drinks bottle. At this point, remove the soft inner peice from
the inside of the lid. you must do this!! You want about 1/4 of the bottle filled with
jurema powder. one and a half cups should be fine. dont worry about using too little, you can't.
2) Mix it with the distilled water up to 3/4 - 80% of the volume of the bottle, just leave a small amount for the solvent. You want to use AS LITTLE SOLVENT AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Ideally, in a whole drinks bottle, you will have a centimeter (or about 1/2 an inch) of solvent at the top per extract. Think of it as: The more I add, The longer it will take. the worst part is, you don't necessarily get more either.
3) Using the funnel, add about 3 - 4 tablespoons of NaOH crystals. Be careful as this will warm the water. You want to add excess, so if you find your first pull doesn't go very well, add more NaOH. Im not sure if you can overbasify or not.
3) Boil the kettle and put the 2L bottle of black into a pot full of boiled water, to raise the temperature.
4) Put the lid on and shake the hell out of it. periodically shaking to try to get all the clumps of mimosa broken up. You were aiming for a sort of thin black liquid. Not too goopy, or it wont work.
5) fill up to the top of the bottle with naptha (on the first run), and squeeze the remaining air out of it and quickly screw the cap on. The less air in there, the less of an emulsion will form, but don't worry.
6) shake the hell out of it and let it sit for about 10 minutes, shaking every few minutes. This is to break the mimosa up and get the reaction going. The solvent should also float to the surface.
7) After ten minutes and its all shook up, turn it slowly end over end but don't shake it up, to allow the solvent to settle at the top. you can unscrew the lid here and use a syringe/dropper/tiny pipette to suck up the solvent and spray it back down to break up the bubbles of water-in-solvent (emulsion.)
8) after fifteen minutes or so, use the turkey baster at first, then the pipette/syringe to extract the top layer and deposit it into the glass tray. don't get any black in there.
9) repeat for the second extraction.
10) with the first and second extracts in the glass pan, get it in a well ventilated room with the electric fan on maximum and the other fan, if you've got one, also on maximum. Point them both at the pan, and let rip.
11) in as fast as 1 hour, but may take up to 3 hours, you will have your first batch of smokable extract. from my cup and a half of mimosa bark, I got about what looks to be between 1/4g and 3/4g. atleast 4 or 5 good hits anyway. Scrape it up and smoke it. You will be looking for clear or clear yellow blobs of liquid which won't evaporate. They are liquid DMT kept fluid or gum by the heat of the fan. as you take the dish away it will crystallize.
12) While your first extraction is evaporating (and I fnd this to be advantageous over freeze-precipitation, because you get ALL of the DMT from your extract, okay its not so pure, but you get far more mileage out of darker spice.) Get the third extraction in there, via the same steps as above, except let this one sit for as long as it takes to evaporate the first extracts. Leave the bottle, sealed, in the same room as the fan heater to keep it all nice and hot. (this helps extraction.)
Xylene pull:
After you have done 3 naptha extracts, you should do another 2 xylene ones. Again, use as little as possible and follow the instructions above. This will net you the lethally potent (BE VERY CAREFUL) and possibly extremely terrifying RED SPICE. You may need to recrystallize this stuff. See later.
Recrystallization:
Take your product (probably somekind of tan wax, yellow crystal or otherwise) and put it in a clean shotglass. Heat a small amount of naptha up, and dissolve the dmt freebase using as little as possible, with stirring. When its all gone, Cover the shotglass with tinfoil and shove it in the freezer. Don't put exposed naptha in your freezer or all of your food will taste of naptha FOREVER. and so will food you put in the freezer, too. Its disgusting, believe me!
After 2 - 4 hours you should have DMT crystals on the inside of the glass. Carefully decant the naptha and evaporate it down a little. then, do the same process on it once again. Alternatively, use it again for another recrystallization. dont use it more than twice, or it'll become to gunky. then, throw it away. you may also evaporate it down again, I guess, to yield low quality dmt gunk.
