i just wanted to take the time to describe some interesting experiments in live extractions of fungi. i have done it many different ways and it could be done many more ways but i will try to keep it relativity straightforward for ya's. you get a jar of honey and you mix it with some water i usually like to do this by just pouring some hot water in a large jar containing the honey, wait for overnight pour off honey saturated water. this allows one to avoid stirring (i have thick honey this may not apply if you have liquidy honey)take this and mix with fungal material if its dry go ahead and grind it up first otherwise i wouldnt bother, i also have tried adding tartaric acid (aka cream of tartar) at this point to help preserve the actives better. i like to put it(fungal material) in the water while its(the water) hot so it(the concoction) teas up nice. I like to use water kefir crystals a colony vaguely similar to kombucha,(as apposed to milk kefir which is different) alternatively i also like to use champagne yeast. now you can go ahaed and put a balloon or airlock on that and let it mature for a bit...so far it seems the faster you drink it the stronger it is...but the mellowness of age has depth and clarity and instead of nausea it makes your tummy feel great.. i have not been able to keep any for longer than a month so far so i cannot guaranteeing long term preservation but it works magic for medium term storage and plus 1 million points for alchemical transformation
