filtering rue is a beeyach - some dont extract from it caus of the filtering.
manske performed on rue - 500g - hcl and freebase filtering took only minutes.
once the harmala alkaloids are in hcl form - just after doing the manske add dlimo
the dlimo went a very nice shade of red, and the solution became fast to filter.
3 funnels were used with oil filters
idk if it thins it or makes it less sticky or what - but i got massive yeild so i dont think it took up anything important.
the dlimo was salted with vinegar - il find out what it holds soon.

You saying that the d-limonene picks up the hard to filter particles, which makes the water much easier to filter?

I wonder if it also picks up nasty tasting compounds, which usually requires multiple manskes/freebasing steps to remove. Harmalas doesn't really taste much, except being bitter.

Im curious about final product yields and bioassay. Limo turning red, couldnt that be that its dissolving the harmalas and turning them into harmala red? How sure are you that the harmalas did not dissolve, based on yield weight or something else too? Is there any pictures? What did the final harmalas looked like?

the harmalas look as they should - yeild is as it should be - remember this is while its in hcl salt form - and dlimo is nonpolar - idk harmalas solubility in dlimo in freebase form - but it seems most hcl salts iv worked with arent soluble in dlimo.
