First breakthrough experience

New Sneakers

To shrink your head, first expand your mind.
Hello all! As a new member, I’d like to contribute my first breakthrough experience, especially since it was so “textbook”, if there is such a thing.

This was back in September of 2024. I was experimenting with different changa blends at this point, as I preferred the ease of delivery and the addition of the MAOI was also a nice extra. At this point, I had some fairly intense experiences under my belt, but still had not properly broken through.

It was around 11am or noon and I had just gotten back from a bike ride and was doing some light yoga and stretching. It was a nice, sunny day, and I was in a good mood.

The crazy thing about this breakthrough was that I was not anticipating it at all. I believe I only smoked 40mg of changa out of my Grav bubbler, and while I can’t remember the exact ratio of DMT I used in this blend, it was definitely not more than 40mg - probably 25 if I had to guess.

Anyway, I was able to clear the bowl in one hit using a regular Bic lighter, and I immediately felt like I was being propelled through something at incredible speed. This was the first time I felt my eyes involuntarily twitching, almost like REM sleep or something. Eventually, I arrived at what I can only describe as an alien city. And I mean that in the most literal sense possible. I had the feeling that I was enclosed behind the glass canopy of a pod in some kind of single seat monorail-esque transit system being transported around the city. I could see a skyline with futuristic buildings, and the entire atmosphere was a pinkish-peach-orange hue.

It’s been awhile at this point, and you know how hard it is to recall the specific details, but this first breakthrough still stands out in my mind as being completely incredible. Up until this point, I had never truly been “there”. The sheer amount of complexity of this other world, along with the feeling of actually going to a different place, was just reality shattering and incomprehensible to me. I’ll never forgot that first one. Thanks for reading!

I can relate to this. It feels uber real, super real or more real than real. Perhaps it is REAL and you did ACTUALLY go to a different place? I like to think this way anyway.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Yeah, sometimes I think that DMT is a transit system for your consciousness. It’s just hard to explain how your brain is coming up with these scenarios or hallucinations or whatever you want to call them without any previous experience with them. Like, I’ve never imagined or seen anything like that before, so how is my brain constructing it essentially from scratch?

New Sneakers,

Welcome to the Nexus and the breakthrough experience. Your trip sounded gorgeous, amazing and downright fun. Alien cities indeed. Sometimes I also feel like I visit cities of the Dead. Crazy how infinite it is in there. And we are told it is in our heads. Our heads, smaller than a basketball contain infinities and Universes. Quite something.

Again, welcome.

I completely understand. I am in the camp that these places are real and not just some construct in our minds. I choose to see it that way. I do not think my mind is capable of creating some of the stuff I have seen. Like Pandora just stated our heads contain infinities and universes. That is quite something and quite amazing. Life is strange. Reality is a trip. It is truly awesome that we are able to experience even just a glimpse of that magic.

And we can take this huge universe and put it inside a very tiny head: you fold it.

That’s kind of where I stand, also. It’s funny because I’ve been a staunch atheist for most of my life, but after doing DMT, I feel almost compelled to accept the fact that there is something else out there that is beyond the physical world.

Thank you for the kind words. DMT has really forced me to reevaluate a lot of things. When you come back from these experiences, it’s pretty much impossible to ignore it.

Ever heard of quantum information panpsychism? We create the universe as we observe it. Are we creating hyperspace as we observe it?

We are the aperture in which the universe views itself, paraphrasing Carl Sagan. Check out this video below and tell me what you think.

That’s so funny - I was just watching some of this last week. Super interesting! Makes my head hurt lol.
