First full spectrum mimosa extraction

last week i did my first dmt extraction, i took the whole week to give it all time to work and release its contents. I have now collected together the extract and am confused as i used 25g of mimosa and ended up with near enough that as the resulting extract. anyone got any advice or thoughts on this?

Well, for one thing it looks as though there's quite a lot of solvent residue present.

Other than that, without any further information about the extraction method used it's difficult to comment.

You might as well recrystallise the material from naphtha as there's no way that the substance shown is anywhere near pure. It could quite likely be dangerous - for example, if it's contaminated with sodium hydroxide.

So tell us how you got to the stage shown in the picture and it'll be a lot easier to help you.


(Is there any chance that you used 250g of MHRB rather than 25g? That would make the amount of product a lot more plausible.)
 
25g Mimosa Hostilis Powdered Bark
25g Calcium Hydroxide
25ml D-Limonene (Orange Oil)

Acidification: 100ml De-ionised Water (heated) and 30 ml De-stilled White Vinegar

Salting: 50ml De-ionised Water (heated) and 15g Fine Salt

Basifying: 100ml De-ionised Water and 25g Calcium Hydroxide and additional 70ml De-ionised Water (topup)

Adding Non-Polar Solvent: 25ml D-Limonene (Orange Oil)

At each step the containment bottle was keep closed (shook and pressure released, every hour). Left in a Water Bath on a hot plate for 24 hours.

After 24 hours with Non-Polar Solvent, filtered 3 times through coffee filters and evaporated
 
Did you try it out? How was it? I would check out shaggy's jungle tek, maybe it would be a good idea to put it in acetone and see if anything unwanted sinks to the bottom?
