Ayahuascalypse

Rising Star
Greetings, my friends!! New user here. I just wanted to introduce myself. I will be taking a trip to Iquitos Peru for my first Ayahuasca ceremonies. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time.

I've been researching this wonderful plant for over a year now and I believe this is something I need in my life. I believe Aya has a lot to teach about myself, and I will approach her with total and absolute reverence .

I will keep a journal and take many photos when I'm out in the Amazon. I will also be filming, too. I plan on taking some of my art supplies so I can sketch out some of those visions that are hard to put into words.

Anyway, I hope to contribute to some interesting topics.

Hello to all who are reading!! - J :d

Watch out for fake shamans there in Iquitos. It has become a very touristy place. Loads of guy's pretending to be shamans just to get money of you. Guy's that don't know shit what they're doing.

If you haven't bought your ticket yet I would seriously consider going to Ecuador instead. Less corrupted by tourism.

Well have a nice trip where ever you're going. :)

Thank you very much for the heads up. I actually booked everything last month. I'm going to the Blue Morpho.

I've read tons of testimonials and thought I'd give this place a try. Seems pretty legit to me.

Yeah they at least know what it's about. Just too much luxury for my taste. I'm a bit more adventurous :) hehe I'd like to go deeper into the jungle. I'm most curious about a Ecuadorian tribe called Secoya. But I've heard they're a bit hardcore. Give you a very strong brew. They have a shaman that's over 105 years of age and still practicing his magic :) hehe

Haha yeah I feel ya. This is going to be my first time so I'm going to take the safe road. I don't really care much for the accommodations. I'm going for some medicine work.

So what's some Ayahuasca safe foods that you eat while you're preparing on your diet?

I start my dieta this saturday (which is two weeks before I embark on this journey)

I'm going to eat boiled chicken, plantains, potatoes and a lot of bland stuff. Does anyone else recommend any snacks and I stuff that I could buy at a local supermarket? Anything would help. :d
