FIRST time Got my toes in the door

Hello everyone, to start off ive been lurking this forum for little over a year now. My name is Dan you can refer to me as that or Moondance. I plan on sticking around on here for quite some time. I have done 0 psychs just a frequent marijuana enjoyer! Yesterday was my first time experimenting with the spice. I had 3 sessions on the day yesterday none of which were breakthoughs.. Though all were heroic doses. Me and a kind friend used the GVG. The setup was one screen(the one that it comes with) a thin layer of herbs and alot of spice. However we didnt have a scale which has now been dealt with so we eyeballed clumps. The heating tool was a standard bic lighter.

Experience 1: Very nervous as lighting it up. Mediated prior and took deep breathes. Once i built the courage i fired it up 3-4 times. put the GVG aside. And close my eyes. My body starting trembling or always breathing/pulsing. When this started happening i was thinking here we go this is the come up everyone speeks of. I waited thinking it would ascend to a blastoff. but nonthing happend. The only noticed thing was the feeling of space and very faint white dots surround my vision. Also beams of green light like a laser pink floyd show. Also the most beutiful light shined apon me in the corner of my vision. I immediantly thought it was the sun. Turns out we were in the shade the whole time.

Experience 2: Changed location upped the doseage. This time i decided to put on my big headphones and listen to Franklins Tower by the dead. Again no luck besides a little green swirls going in and out. (was fully conscious in this state like i knew where i was and knew i just had my eyes closed.

Experience 3: The grand finale on the day waited a good bit between the second and thrid exp.this time the green wasnt visible in the VG the whole bowl was chalked full of the yummiest smelling crystal. This time still nonthing just a little marroon color effect.

Throughout these experiences each time i noticed the inside of the bowl would have no remince of white in it after a toke or two. Me and my buddy went through a whole half G yesterday but no sweat we got solid friends. In my eyes using that much and not blasting off wasnt an entire waste. I got a verry brief preview to what is possible and after all tree sessions felt at bliss afterwards. I gathered a few direct questions that i would be greatly appreciated if they were anwsered.
1.After lighting the GVG should you be able to remove the top piece and see white crystals?
2. What is a recomended setup for the GVG i would prefer direct feed back ie, place 3 screens in and put the spice on top with or without kindness?
3. Was my problem most likely related to burning of the spice not vaporizing?( i was able to see the GVG fill up with smoke and the hits were mad harsh)
4.Can one keep smoking spice as long as they up the MGs?
5.The nugs left over in the genie are damp and waxy like anyone recomend throwing em in a bowl or just try agiain in the genie?

Hello and welcome moondance.

If two people split 500mgs and neither broke through I feel confident in making and either or claim

1) Your technique was really really bad.
2) Your purity level is grossly off.

My guess is most likely #1.

Try to make your inhale as long and as slow as you can. One inhale can easily take 20-40 seconds if done right.

Also do not throw anything away! If you had 500mgs of spice and you didn't get off you still have a ton of spice left. I'd wager several hundred mgs.

A few recommendations:

1. Get a scale and weigh your doses. If your technique with the GVG is good, you should get very strong effects from 20-30mg.

2. Use a copper mesh disc instead of herbs to absorb the liquid DMT. (See attached photo.)

3. Add only enough DMT for one dose. Adding a large amount will result in most of it melting and running down the sides of the glass – the herbs or mesh can only hold so much liquid.

4. Use a torch lighter. A standard Bic won’t heat it quickly enough.

With proper technique, it’s nearly impossible to burn spice in the GVG. The vapor is very smooth and non-irritating.

It is perfectly natural to not see any crystals after the first or second tokes. The crystals will melt into a liquid into the herbs extremely quickly and it's from their liquid form that they are then vaporized and inhaled. If the nugs are damp and waxy then there's probably DMT soaked into them. You can either keep it in the genie and try to vape the nugs themselves in there, or you can put it in a bowl which can be easier to use. If you're seeing "smoke" in the GVG, that's the vapor and yes, it will be quite harsh. I don't know what kind of lighter you're using, but if it's a bic, it will be harsh because it takes a while for it to heat up and vaporize the spice so you're constantly taking in that hot air. You should be using a torch lighter with the GVG, and if you are and it's still way too harsh, then I recommend backing off on the lighter some. You are right though, your early experiences are not a waste even though they weren't breakthroughs. They're helping to prepare you for deeper experiences and recalibrating the mind so that these deeper experiences aren't such a shock to the system. It's an important "lesson" to be learned by your body that words just really can't prepare you for that no matter what happens, you always come back and things always go back to normal, and it's automatic and you don't have to worry about a thing. This is the kind of lesson that only comes with experience, but it is essential in not freaking out during breakthrough intensity situations where God knows what is possible or what will be taking place. Try to get a really thick hit and hold it in for like 15-20 seconds. When you exhale, you shouldn't see anything.

When using multiple standard VG screens should they be touching eachother or space out? I havent attempted putting the screens in but should i just drop them in there? Also My GVG is filithy and looks like candle wax is up in my pipe which is cool but does anyone recomend frequent cleaning? if so how does one go about cleaning it? thanks again

You want the screens to be touching each other. Just plunk 'em on down. If you want to clean it, you can run 92% isopropyl alcohol through it, collect it in a tray or bowl and let the alcohol evaporate over a couple days. When it's done evaporating you should have some crystals to scrape up.
