first time with mushrooms

Rising Star
This happened many years ago, but after recently typing up my first ever experience report after my first DMT experience, i have felt inspired to get down some of the other stories ive collected through out my years of drug use.
I was 16 at the time and just starting high school. I had spent a few years living over seas, and had just returned back to my home town at the start of the summer. Living over seas i had experimented many times with Dextromethorphan in the form of Romilar cough syrup, used inhalants, and smoked a little hashish. These experiences had peaked my interest in drug use, and so upon returning to the states i promptly began smoking a lot of pot. I also began reading more and more about drugs in general, one coffee table style book i remember being rather influential in my early days of research was titled "From Chocolate to Morphine". So when a fellow classmate of mine mentioned he had some mushrooms and was going to brew some tea with them, i lit up with excitement and quickly asked if he would have any extra left over that i could try.He said he would see.
The day next before class he produced a 2 liter coke bottle from his back pack about half full with what looked like vomit. He gave it to me with a smile and said "be careful, it's strong." I asked how much i should drink and he said about 8 shots full. The rest of the day at school all i could think about was that bottle in my back pack. I would go to the bathroom during class so i could sit in the stall and inspect it, swooshing it around in awe. It smelled as bad as it looked, maybe worse, simply putrid, that musty decay like smell that mushrooms have in concentrate. I could see little pieces of mushrooms floating around in the grayish brown soupy mix, and was genuinely worried about how i was gonna keep it down.
I waited till around 11 at night to attempt to start drinking the mess i had in this two littler coke bottle. I had told my older sister what i was getting in to and she agreed to kinda keep an eye on me through out the night. I didn't have a room at the house at the time as my nephew, around 9 then, was using my room, and so i was sleeping on the couch in the living room. I grabbed the bottle and some lime juice, hoping to mask that awful flavor that i was sure it was going to have. This was a mistake in retrospect as the lime juice just made it ten times worse. I managed to drink 9 shots, figuring that i weighed a hundred pounds more or so than the guy who gave this stuff to me, so i would need a little more. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. "Something about Mary" was playing so i keep it the TV there thinking a comedy would put me in a good state of mind. Before i knew it the stuff started to hit me and i felt like my body was moving in waves. The ending credits to the movie were playing and "build me up Buttercup" was playing and i couldn't stop laughing. It was simply the funniest thing i had ever seen. I got up and started dancing to the song, feeling so alive and full of energy, and then the song stopped and i felt strange to be swaying alone in the middle of my living room. I decided i would roll a joint. This meant i had to sneak past my sleeping nephew into my closet were i kept my stash. The hallway looked as though it was ten mile long, and there was flashes of color all over the walls, like someone had left a TV on and it was projecting onto the hallway. I got to my room and my nephew had fallen asleep to Dragon Ball-Z, which i glanced at on the way to my closet. The cartoon sky from the TV show followed me in the corner of my eye for a good ten minutes after i had gotten to the closet and was trying to roll a joint. I was using these green papers, and on the packet one side had a moon and the other a sun. These pictures were fascinating to me at the time, at it seemed like they were making different faces every time time i would look away, so i would quickly look back, foiling my joint rolling operation in the process. Eventually i somehow summoned the ability to roll a very nice spliff and proceeded to the back deck to sit on our bench swing. As i lit up that joint and took my first hit it was like a rainbow coil unfolded in my butt, shot up my spine and burst into the back of my skull all with the power and speed of a gun. I couldn't see this rainbow spring, i could just feel it was made of rainbows, and this sensation caused me to sit up sharply and filled me with this total sense of wonder and happiness. All of a sudden it was like i could see "the light" in everything, every where i looked there was life, or it was connected somehow, like everything, even me and this rainbow coil in my head, were all part of this same organism, or this same living painting. i couldn't move for what seemed like an hour, i was in such astonishment. I felt like if there was a god that i had just met him, or became him, or experienced him on some level. My mind was literally blown for the first time it seemed to me.
After a while i noticed the sound of a phone ringing, and it occurred to me that this would wake my mother if it kept ringing, which was not something i wanted at the time. I picked up the phone and said hello. From the other end came what sounded like some kind of "thug" repeating the line "yo yo put Sparky on the phone". I told him he had the wrong number, but he persisted that he knew that this "Sparky" was there and that i needed to put him on the phone, like, "pronto yo" Again, i said you have the wrong number and that there was no Sparky here, to which he replied "I'm looking at you through the window right now, now put Sparky on the phone." I hung up in total fear and disbelief. I was sure this individual was indeed watching me through the window and was going to attempt to kill me, thinking i was hiding this "Sparky". I stood paralyzed for a moment peering out the window thinking for sure i would see them come up the walkway. I didn't. It wasn't until about 2 hours, after sobering up a bit, that i questioned this entire chain of events, realizing that i most likely did not really have this conversation.
