Floaters in solvent ??

Migrated topic.

So after pulling with naphtha and placing in freezer to crash out crystals. I noticed the smell in my place. I figured I'd better do something so I went to add some plastic wrap over the top instead of foil.

The bottom.of the glass pan in covered I white crystals but the solvent I noticed when it was running when I picked it up has a ton of white floater crystals in it.

Will these all end up sticking to the bottom of the pan by the time its been in there the 12-18 hours? And if not how do I go about collecting them out of the solvent?

There are a ton of crystals floating probably more then what's stick on the pan. I'm hoping its just due to not being in there long enough but would like to know what to do in the event that there still floating around. Obviously if they are when I go to pur the solvent off most of my spice will still be floating in there

I've read it a few times I didn't think it mentioned floaters. I also searched for it and found a few threads but all they say is not to use a coffee filter to catch them.

I'll read it again now. Thanks

Pour it through a coffee filter, but just be careful when you pour it out. If you tilt the tray slowly most of the floaters will settle in the corner of the dish and not flow out with the solvent.

You still have to be quick enough to pour it off before it re dissolves the spice, just not so hasty as to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Also one should do basic research before asking and saying things, we do not want to spoonfeed answers.

It's there. Under the section where it talks about dissapearing crystals. I do believe that part needs to be written a little different. Thanks for understanding.
