Hello Vervain, and welcome to the sight. Thank you for the insightful post, I was born In October and after reading your post I begin to wonder if it played any part in my current stance in the world of psychedelics.

I'm glad to read you are using The Machine. everyone has a preferred method for travel and mine is The Machine.

I would imagine that the copper wire may be a good idea and I can't see why it can't work if it will provide a solid plug while at the same time allow air to pass through. but remember to preheat the wire to vaporize any chemicals it may have been treated with from the factory if you have not already.

Another good idea would be if you can pop out a steel screen from the tap of a faucet still heating it to kill off anything that might be living on it (sorry little microbial beings, if only I could safely smoke you too) but it is nice to have a pack of #3 steel wool from the hardware store so you can replace the plug with a new clean one whenever you want to do so.
