Wanted an opinion from a chemist regarding a question I can not answer because of lack of knowledge.
In ths thread I only mentioned it by typeing it as text.
Abstract-Usecase:
Wanting to tag a role (Chemist, Guide, ...) in order to achieve that members assigned with that role reads it.
Realisation 1:
Use the already defined Roles like Chemist, ... and make them taggable.
When tagging the Role everyone would get notified as an Alert.
Considerations:
I think some roles are defined as Levels like Chemist and experienced chemist?
Which one should be taggable?
Realisation 2:
Introduce a similar mechanic like Roles which would act as some sort of "interests".
This Tags (interests) could be self assignable and expresses the interest of someone.
If someone Tags an Interest everyone with that interest would get notified.
Considerations:
More effort then realisation 1.
General considerations:
There are some settings about which alerts we are getting.
Documentation?
There are probably other ways to solve this use case.
Probably there are even mechanics existing to achieve exactly this?
Is it neccessary?
How do others think about this?
