SWIM just had one EPIC journey (actually 3 back-to-back). here's the poop:

as per someone's recommendation, SWIM ordered up a pound of premium Vanuatu Kava Kava root from www.realkava.com

this stuff is incredible folks! one "dose" of this and SWIM was a rubbery, gelatinous blob of relaxed goo. so euphoric....so RELAXED!!! after about an hour of physical and mental bliss, SWIM decided to take a journey....he loaded up some of his POWERFUL fortified weed into his VG and took a giant hit.

blast off.....righteous oneness with everything....such a blissful journey....lasted a looong time too for smoking freebase....usually only 5-7 minutes for SWIM but this was like 15-20 minutes! the experience was SO incredible that the minute he was back he put the VG back up to his lips and took ANOTHER big hit.

blast off again....right back to where he was and it was perfection. another 20 minutes of nirvana.

same thing- round 3- again back to the hyperspace that love built...

as much as he'd loooove to go on and on about how incredible his journeys were....there's a more important item up for discussion here: does Kava act as an MAOI in any way???? the experience was UNDENIABLY longer and seemingly stronger...but the relaxation induced by the Kava made it sooooo enjoyable and peaceful!!! NEVER had a journey like THESE! SO GOOD!!!

nice dude...SWIM never thought to take kava..but now that you mention it..it does seem like a perfect combo! nice find friend...SWIM will be looking forward to hearing from other people about kava kava's potentiation posibilities..

j- seriously....you HAVE to try this combo IMMEDIATELY. one of the best combinations SWIM's EVER put together.....ever....

not sure if the weed had a part in it but SWIM's always been a huge fan of weed and DMT so he's imagining it didn't hurt.... soooo sooo good!

Thanks for the tip. SWIM has been holding off on the spice for a while, mostly due to a predisposition towards anxiety (during both psychedelic trips and everyday life). Sounds like Kava might be something to try out.
 
so funny! I was just reading about kava and came across that site. Did you use the blender method? Also did you get their strainer bags?
 
i DID use the blender method but failed to purchase the strainer bags....didn't see them until i had already hit "send" on my order :(

a little bit of a gnarly texture to choke down....bags would have seriously helped....but MAN! let me tell you!!! that Vanuatu select grade Kava is FO' REAL!!! the body load is SO HUGE and the mental relaxation is akin to Opium!!
then, when you take a big hit of spice and THAT body load kicks in....well....as i said to my brother as i was coming out of hyperspace, "it just felt like my soul got a shiatsu massage".

FUGGING INCREDIBLE....EVERYONE WHO HAS A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH SPICE NEEDS TO TRY THIS COMBO!

SWIM hasn't tried Kratom yet....but will order some up pronto. any preferred particular method of ingestion? amount?
wanna hear something trippy- swim just woke up and can STILL close his eyes and see spice visions! wow wowie wow....those three kava-enhanced journeys were mind-blowing...

Thanks Ant. Swim just ordered up some rue, thh and kava. Upon arrival swim plans to down some hersheys syrup about an hour before some kava followed by sublingual thh then half an hour after that he will take a lungful of spice. He will then most likely enjoy himself immensely. Even though there probably wont be a 'him' to speak of...<wipes drool>

Your story inspired me to order some :) What is a good "dose" of Kava and will 1 pound last a while? Sorry for the noob question but have never had Kava before.
 
i just followed the serving suggestions that came with it. three heaping tablespoons in one liter of water blended up produces 2 servings. it tastes pretty gnarly and the texture is equally so...i just upended it like your garden-variety frat dude at a kegger. chased it with a nice big chunk of dark chocolate...effects reached the "no-shit" level at about T+20mins.... enjoyed this immensely for another 45 mins or so then a dude who looks a hell of a lot like me (see: impossibly handsome) gave his VG a deep inhale and off he went.....

...simply heaven....

jas- i like the idea of throwing a 20mg sublingual THH dose into the mix....i'll tell that handsome guy to give it a shot next time!.....which will probably end up being later today....SWIY and he can compare notes :D

Keep in mind that there is good quality kava, and lots of crappy kava out there. Most of the kava out there is crappy and does almost nothing even at very high doses. So, BUYER BEWARE!
 
I agree STRONGLY with 69ron on this point. most tinctures and pills that you buy via your local health food shoppe are not the kava i have come to know and love. this stuff that i got from realkava.com comes from vanuatu and is premium grade. it's not super cheap....but it's LEGIT and that's what you want!

Ant. Your post made swim decide to check into kava again. He drank it long ago when it could be purchased in bulk form at the local co-op. But it just numbed his lips, not much else. So he now plunked down the dough to see if the synergy is as good as swiy experienced.

If you get the good stuff, you will feel it. There are lots of people really into kava, but they are using the good quality stuff. Only certain select vendors have it.

I believe once it's dried and processed into tinctures and pills, it loses a lot of its effectiveness. That's not the real deal. My understanding is that it needs to be freshly harvested.

It's somewhat like the difference between dried salvia and fresh salvia. Only the fresh leaves used as a quid produce mushroom-like effects. Once dry, it still works, but the effects are quite different.

With kava, the old processed crap works well as a local anesthetic and mild sedative, but it loses a lot of its psychoactivity. At least that's my understanding. I'm no kava expert though.

swim has taken "the journey" using kratom...quite a few times.

initially swims intentions was to use the kratom to relieve the "pre blast apprehension" (he drank the kratom tea about 45mis -1 hr before blast) and it worked but the best part of using kratom w/ spice is the "afterglow". The afterglow was amazing....which it normally is anyway but the kratom definately enhanced it.

i also like kratom/kava combo.

Now i'm gonna have to get swim to try kava/spice combo :)
 
Buuuhuuu :( I soooo want to try this combo and the kratom-DMT combo too but both Kava-kava and kratom are illegal where I live and it's very hard to order online and get it here :( Small island and authorities have their fat fingers in everything you order online :(
But someday, someday!!
