Fumaric acid from supplements?

Fumaric acid seems to be in supplements that relieve Psoriasis. Would it be possible to extract the Fumaric acid from the pills and leave the other stuff behind, ending up with pure Fumaric acid.

SWIM is thinking that he could crush up the pills and add acetone, the Fumaric acid would be absorbed and the adulterants would precipitate out, then SWIM could just evaporate the acetone.

SWIM would love to have a steady source of Fumaric acid at the nearest health store.

SWIM is looking for a 'homebrew' method for producing DMT. He's been working with Phalaris grass but it's too fatty, so he wants to use the FASA method on it but wants to find a way to get Fumaric Acid without ordering it online (thus the supplement question).

The health supplements are usually Fumaric Acid Esters and not Fumaric acid. I don't know if there is an easy way to convert them back.
However if you don't mind buying privately from the net I can sell you some much cheaper than from FV.
