Hey how's it going?

I'm a university student going into his second year. I'm majoring in biology and neuroscience now but would rather move towards psychology or chemistry. I'm 19 but I've had a lot of experience with psychoactive drugs, of all kinds. Recently though I've realized I have in interest only in those substances with more meaning.

DMT seems to be prominent in this category.

What I love about this website is how it combines all the elements of this entheogen. I've learned a lot about extraction techniques and its very exciting to learn about chemistry in and out of school. I consider myself an atheist, but the power behind the DMT experience seems very spiritual and is very interesting as well.

I've only actually just tried it. I can't say I'm sure I didn't breakthrough but I don't think I did. It was definitely trippy though.

I'm not sure what else to say, I was just keen to join this community after looking through threads for so long.

Good to have another intrepid young explorer joining us! As far as breaking through goes... If it had happened you would have known. But sub-breakthrough experiences can be very powerful as well.

I've always thought of myself as a rationalist, but exploring psychedelics for over 20 years has led me to drop the "atheist" label. It's too fixed and specific of a definition. I do believe that all the world's religions are manmade and therefore false, but if you take away that part, there is something great to be gained in recognizing our universal interconnectivity, our common heritage, our shared dreams. We are all one... And yet the manmade religions would have us believe in the "saved" (members) and "damned" (non members). It's all so obviously man made, and yet out of fear, some folks feel compelled to abide. One of the great gifts that psychedelics have to offer is the distinction between religion and spirituality, which is a unique personal experience.
