Glass Jar Alternative/Best Mixing Container

SWIM needs a big mixing container.
Something strong and see-through.
He's worried about lye breaking the current jars he's using and needs something more durable.

Any suggestions? What do you guys use?

If you keep the glass jars inside clean HDPE containers of equal or greater volume at all times, you don't have to worry.

I'm on the same quest...

I was using a sturdy glass jar and when I put it into a heat bath, *crrrrrack*

Broke the thing clean in half.


I managed to get my remaining solvent but damn... It could have gone horribly pear shaped.

I'm told that heat resistant lab grade glass is the way to go, but I can't find large extraction sized for less than $600. So it looks like I've got to settle on multiple smaller extractions which suits me fine since I LOVE the process!
