GOA GIL in Ashevile

Not so much into the death farts, squelch fest that is modern day dark psy. Seeing Gil is an experience. Worth doing I suppose, or returning to, if you're into it.

More into progressive electronic music myself (minimal techno, progressive trance, tech/tribal house). For me, the trance experience comes from dancing, not standing around high on a bunch of drugs being barraged by 166BPM digital effects laden noise.
 
SWIM understands that comepletely. He's never seen him, or been to a real festival for that matter, so it'll be a blast.
SWIM is a dancing queen anyways.
SWIM has always been a big fan of really hard, really fast trance music i.e. hardstyle, happy hardcore, nonvocal trance, dnb, and goa psy.
 
It's an experience. Didn't mean to come off as trying to dissuade you or anything. Definitely go check it out. You'll have a blast if you like hard trance.

Barefoot for three days, lsd, 2ci, 2cb, exstacy, doc, mushrooms, nitrous. Not all at once mind you lol.

Please could you explain the whole psytrance thing to me? I'm curious, but I just don't get it. I used to like the stuff that came before like The Orb and some oldschool rave, but even back when it first came out and I was into raving I just couldn't get into psychedelic trance. It hurts my head! I wish everyone was sitting around listening to early Grateful Dead with mescalito instead!
Is it intended as music to take MDMA to? Because I imagine it'd freak SWIM out if he were tripping. Was SWIY pilled up the whole time, taking the other stuff in conjunction?

Too be honest, I do not know for sure. I do not like to take mdma. I love to trip at the right shows though. It can make for an amazingly beautiful trip...

I have found that people in the psychedelic trance scene tend to take LSD, mushrooms and other psychedelics. You will always find MDMA at these party's. But they seem to be the ones who go to sleep/chill in the morning.

So to answer your q, yes a large proportion of people are getting pilled up.(maybe 90%)
