Going solo or going as a group?

Good day chaps and chappets, me and two of my friends have been working together to try and pin down the DMT experience into a mathematical formula and a modal of the universe. We each take the spice on our own in controlled conditions then reconvene to discuss and add to the existential modal.
Breaking through as soloists is serving us well and we've been coming back with a wealth of information that's slowly being laid out in to to a coherent modal of existence.
My question to everyone now is how does the group experience differ from the solo? We are planning to go together at some point in the not so distant future, so I just wanted to see what experience others have in this area. For instance, how many people have you gone with? Did everyone in the group break through? Was a death of ego experienced by all present? Is the conversation with the logos then a discourse with all present and the logos?
Anything at all people have on this is going to be very useful in adding our research and is much appreciated.

I MUCH prefer solo, I get somewhat apprehensive to break through around others. Other people talking about whatever is in their consciousness can alter the mood. The largest group I was in during a session was about 5 people; we didn't use MAOI, we only used freebase DMT; like 4 of 5 were satisfied with their level of experience (1 wanted to go further immediately; another wanted to go further soon).

It really depends on the situation and the reason, for me.

If I'm trying to work on something that doesn't involve anyone else, Solo. If someone wants my help with something that they are working on, I'll gladly go with them, but it mainly means that I take a smaller hit and watch over them and make sure they have safe journeys.

Did you guys have any shared experience with your peers? For example can you break through together into the same part of the flux? I guess we're trying to see if we can test for validity in terms of psychic phenomena. As well sorry cos this mite of been better of in research. X

alone is much better, but packing a pipe with changa and passing it around with one or two really close friends in a good setting after a few beers is fun also. I wouldnt go the freebase route in a group setting.

I doubt I've had any shared experiences. Never really asked, and mine are generally focused on me being the reciever of the information delivered.

If my messages went to someone else, it may be a little confusing for them. I'd rather just send vibes to their experience from a far. I usually try to get about 20 feer away from them, and then focus on calming love. That way I don't interfere, but still send the smiles.

In SWIM's opinion it is harder to get "the full experience" out of spice if others are present especially more than two people. While alone SWIM feels like there are less distractions and less chance for things to go negative. On the other hand bringing a friend along can be a good experience as long as you sincerly trust this person and if they have equal or greater psychedelic experience. Hopefully you can share vibes and influence eachother in a positive way during the trip.

Man thats beautiful, I do a similar thing in the morning. I do a short Yoga routine then visualize my toroidal flow, I then squeeze my energy into a singularity then I release it so I send a love ripple through the universe. X

Man, I was to quick to say I hadn't shared an experience.

Yesterday, my buddy and I went on an adventure into the woods....

At first we started off seperate, as mentioned above. After about an hour he asked if he could sit next to me for a breakthrough. "Of course!" I said.

Oh My. I don't really even know how to say... It was a SHARED expedience. Words without words, thoughts with out thinking, to be without being.

After, he had to ask me a few times, "are you sure you weren't talking to me the whole time?"

After that, we continued together. Why be seperate when the minds combined created something way more unique?

Mornin' (herenow at least) bo, as well as most of the others in this thread, I too prefer solo travel. I try to minimize things that will enter my consciousness. I do have a buddy or two that I do like to take excursions with, though, there’s always exceptions to the rule.

Frankly, I'm super curious about your experiment, trying to "pin down the DMT experience into a mathematical formula". That's fascinating. How are you attempting to do this? DMT is a subjective experience, although it has universal qualities, imo. How are you going to pin down an experience into math? Your post is tantalizing, please elaborate!

I prefer doing it by myself for the most part. Not entirely alone, because I've normally been doing it in the greenhouse lately where I can feel the energy coming off all the plants and there's normally a dog or two wandering around, but not with other people too often.
One exception to this is the handful of times I've smoked some changa with my dad. We normally smoke it out in the woods where I grew up running around. I've really enjoyed those experiences. It's funny how much I'll see my self in the guy at times. Guess that doesnt sound too crazy though.

I've only had one genuine experience, and a sober(ish) friend was there to hold the piece for me. He was a good presence. Made me feel comfortable as I slid/flew into the Direct Experience. Apparently he asked if he should leave or stay in the room, and I told him (apparently) to stay. He was saying things like, "It's a good thing." "It's good for you, man. It wants to be a part of you, it's already a part of you.", as I was coming out of it.

Afterwards though I really felt a strong desire to lay with/be with someone, to hear someone else's heart beat. Quite strange.

Guess it depends on a lot of different variables.

I'd say stick with solo. You guys seem to have the right idea if you ask me. If everyone involved is capable of satisfying themselves alone, and then coming together to reasonably discuss it, it seems quite ideal. The biggest problem I have with traveling with groups includes noise and interruptions. I'm a stickler for silence nowadays.

IMHO there can be a comforting factor in the sympathetic presence of fellow human beings.
The word "sympathetic" being paramount here.

I like to smoke changa with others in a setting where every time someone smokes, the others are present in a reverent silence. The atmosphere thus created is very pleasant for everyone involved, before, during and after the experience.

On the topic of an actual "shared dmt trip experience" I believe a lot is possible, but that it is very hard to steer or control this just by smoking some substance. A lot more than that is required from the participants for a clear and consistent transpersonal event.

A friend and I have taken a few does together where we don't don't get to the point of a breakthrough just strong open eye visuals. I have also done it with my girlfriend a few times when first trying it as a safety precaution. No offense to her, I love her to death but I have much stronger experiences when I'm alone. I prefer to be devoid of all connections emotionally and physically it helps me cross over knowing it's just my mind and I. Also I assume it's boring for them to watch me meditate for a half an hour being taking it.

The majority of my breakthrough sessions have been solo. Wait, no they haven't. Most of the breakthroughs I have that have resulted in serious personal growth have been solo. However most of the time I was with a small group of me and two others who partook dream shards together. Sometimes we would stay in the same room, other times we would filter out to our own rooms or environments.

I find the hardest part of group experiences (at least initially) is that there's not really a unified trip, or consensus reality. With shrooms for example there's that feeling of unity with those you ate them with initially, and some shared visuals and such. With dmt, the trip is different for every person present. This fact can take some serious wrapping your head around when in an altered state. In addition the speech impedance, or the seemingly real inability to produce cohesive sentences that afflicts newer members of the hyperspace club can make group trips difficult.

I regularly sat in on many people's dmt sessions, both for their first and subsequent trips. I'd say I also hit the alk maybe 50% of the time. The largest group I ever hit freebase with was around 15 experienced users in a darkened room. We all went for about 4-5 solid hours with no MAOI, just repeated alk hits. That was great, and when one member had an issue, all the rest that were sufficiently 'there' where there to help and reassure her that she was in a place of love, where nothing could hurt her, and that she was ultimately going to be okay.

However, for serious growth and spiritual purposes, alone is definitely the way to go IMHO. The only times I've experienced entities were solo, also most of the explicit guidance and subjective clarity I've received came on solo excursions.

Alone is fine, as is sharing with a fellow traveller. When I've been in the company of others, it must only be with those you trust completely.
To be honest,once you're there, it rarely matters whether you were alone or not, as you've left the material world far behind. As long as there is silence, it's comforting to have someone's company, and often it adds to the experience.
I usually feel more comfortable going further when I'm with my fellow traveller, but then, we've spent over 20 years together in the pursuit of the outer limits, and we share a bond that has been forged through some things that you wouldn't believe if I told you.
