GoodApollo
Rising Star
I've let a few posts on the Nexus, so I think it's high time for an introduction.
I'm not even going to try to compete with some of the fine writing I've found here so far. I'm just going to tell you a little about myself and what has led me to DMT.
I guess on the face of it I'm a pretty normal guy, nothing overly distinctive. I'm a 28 year old, happily married father of two. I work and pay my bills.
Being a father has taught me patience, though this lesson is on going. It has taught me that I am capable of great emotion and when compared to before becoming a parent, I may as well have been dead for all I felt.
I'm an enthusiastic martial artist and have learned much from this path. I practice traditional Japanese jujitsu which has taught me that the best defense is to be aware of you surroundings and that the normal process of thought will only serve to slow your reactions. It is better to react with violence of action than to wonder what is the best technique for a situation while your opponent uses this time to apply his boot to your head. This notion permeates my everyday life as well. Martial arts taught me to still my mind and simply be aware, something which has benefited me whilst using DMT.
I was made aware of DMT by a close friend who clumsily tried to tell me what it was like. His apparent inability to describe it intrigued me, he is normally very articulate and it was clear that whatever happened affected him greatly. I began to research, and research, and research. This inevitably led me to the Nexus. I read every trip report, extraction tek, every shred of information I could. I was becoming obsessed and from this point I was on auto-pilot. I collected all the materials I needed for an extraction and after a few false starts I was left with crude, sticky yellow spice. After a few more false starts I learned how to smoke it.
Life after the spice is different, very different. So few people know of it or its power. I feel like I have glimpsed at the secret workings of the universe and I want to shout it for all to hear, but dare not least po po come calling.
I want to thank the Nexus for all the information and guidance, also I want to thank the traveler for creating such a wonderful community and lastly I want to thank you for making it all the way to the end.
